Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often argued that it is crucial for everyone to save money for their future including young generation. I completely agree that saving money is important for everyone, particularly young people, because it provides financial security and helps them to achieve their golas.

One main reason of saving money for future is that it provides financial security. It helps people to deal with unexpected expenses such as education, healthcare, unemployment or other unexpected expenses. For example, a young person who regularly saves part of their income can use this money if they suddenly loose their job or face any difficulty in their life. Moreover, saving money is essential as it makes people financial independent. When people develop the habit of saving money at an early age, they learn how to manage their income and avoid unnecessary spendings.

However, savings help people to achieve long-term goals. Many important goals such as getting higher education, buying a house or starting a business, require a considerable amount of money. For instance, a young person who saves a portion of their monthly income may eventually have enough money to pay their university fee or start a small business. Therefore, developing a habit of saving money at younger age, helps people to achieve their ambitions of future and become successful.

To conclude, I strongly agree that saving money is important for everyone especially for young people as it helps them to develop a good habit and provides financial security during unexpected situations and helps individuals to achieve theor future goals. Therefore, develpoing a habit of saving money at younger age can lead to a more stable and independent future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you strongly agree that saving is important, especially for young people. You address the task with two relevant reasons—financial security and achieving long-term goals—and support them with examples such as coping with unemployment, paying university fees, or starting a business. This gives the response a solid, relevant foundation. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that saving makes people financially independent could be developed by explaining how savings reduce reliance on loans or family support. To strengthen the response further, extend each main idea with a clearer explanation of its consequences and make the examples more specific.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. The progression from financial security to long-term goals is logical, and signposts such as “For example,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument. Some linking is a little mechanical, however, and the second body paragraph begins “However,” even though it introduces another supporting reason rather than a contrast. The conclusion also repeats several ideas and phrases from the introduction. Use transitions that show the precise relationship between points, and connect examples more explicitly to the claims they illustrate, to make the flow more flexible and natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the argument, including “financial security,” “unexpected expenses,” “long-term goals,” and “considerable amount.” These phrases suit the subject and help distinguish the two main reasons. However, the range is somewhat repetitive: “saving money,” “young person,” and “future goals” recur often, while some combinations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “achieve their ambitions of future” and “unnecessary spendings.” Spelling errors, including “golas,” “loose,” “theor,” and “develpoing,” also reduce accuracy. Broaden your phrasing with natural alternatives such as “build savings” or “financial cushion,” and check spelling and collocations carefully. This would make the vocabulary more precise and controlled.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “a young person who regularly saves part of their income” and a conditional structure beginning “When people develop the habit.” Most sentences communicate their meaning clearly, and the argument remains easy to follow. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, prepositions, and sentence construction. For example, “at younger age” needs an article, and “One main reason of saving money for future” has an awkward grammatical pattern; “one main reason for saving for the future” would be more accurate. The final sentence of the conclusion also repeats the idea of the preceding sentence. Continue practising accurate noun phrases and varied complex structures, then proofread for small grammatical slips.
