Student answer (Band 5.5)
In modren society, financial stability is a significant concern for people of all ages. Many people believes saving money for the future is essential for everyone, including the young generation.
First of all, saving money acts as a safety against unexpected events in life. Life is unpredictable, and emergencies such as sudden medical expenses, loss of a job,or urgent home repairs happned to everyone. If people have money set aside in bank account, they can manage these financial crices without having a borrow of money to anyone. The saved money can be useful for students to give their university expences. If young people develop the habit of saving money, they can secure these funds gradually.
However, some people argue that young individuals should focus on enloying their life and spending money on different experinces like travel and entertainment. While enjoying life is important, spending all the earning without planning for the future can lead to financial trouble in later life. Therefore finding a balance between current spending and future saving is crucial.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that everyone, specially young saves money for their future. After this younger should buy any thing according to their will.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear position in the introduction and conclusion, saying that saving is “essential” and that you “strongly agree.” The response also gives relevant reasons: savings can help with emergencies and university expenses, while spending everything may cause later financial trouble. However, the discussion is only partial and these points are not sufficiently explained or supported with specific examples. The opposing view about enjoying travel and entertainment is acknowledged, but the response does not explore it in depth or clearly explain how to balance present enjoyment with saving. The conclusion’s final sentence, about buying things according to one’s will, also weakens the position. The response is 54 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting different considerations, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. The overall progression is understandable, but connections between some ideas are abrupt. For example, the move from emergencies to students’ university expenses needs a clearer explanation of how this supports the main point. The final sentence also sits awkwardly after the conclusion’s statement of agreement. To improve progression, organise each body paragraph around one main claim, explain it, and then give a relevant example. Use referencing and linking phrases to show how each sentence relates to that claim, rather than relying mainly on basic signposts.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “financial stability,” “unexpected events,” “medical expenses,” and “financial trouble,” which makes the subject clear. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “money set aside” and “develop the habit of saving.” However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts less natural or harder to understand, including “crices,” “enloying,” and “experinces.” Some phrases are also awkward, such as “a safety against unexpected events” and “without having a borrow of money to anyone.” Aim to learn accurate collocations for discussing savings and borrowing, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the financial consequences and benefits in greater detail.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If people have money set aside… they can manage” and a concession beginning “While enjoying life is important…”. These attempts help express cause and contrast, but control is inconsistent. Agreement errors appear in “Many people believes,” and the conditional sentence needs an article in “in a bank account.” Other problems include “everyone, specially young saves,” where the sentence structure and punctuation obscure the intended meaning, and “After this younger should buy,” which is not a complete, natural construction. Some sentences are understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, and sentence formation recur. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, and use a few reliable complex patterns accurately before attempting more varied structures.
