Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear position—“I agree this statement”—and keep the response broadly focused on saving for the future. You also offer reasons, such as preparing for future needs, and include an example about Elon Musk. However, the reasons are mostly general or unclear: the discussion of unemployment and people moving abroad does not explain in a developed way how saving benefits everyone, especially young people. The Musk example is not clearly connected to saving, and the claim that he did not waste money is unsupported. The response contains 240 words, so it is 10 words below the 250-word minimum; the 12 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop two relevant reasons with specific explanation and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic overall shape: an introduction, supporting material, an example, and a concluding opinion. Connectors such as “Therefore,” “For example,” and “In my opinion” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, ideas are not arranged in a consistently logical progression. The paragraph beginning “Therefore” moves from migration and jobs to saving, without making the links clear, and several points are repeated, including that money is important and should be saved. Paragraphing is also limited, with most supporting ideas crowded together. Organise each body paragraph around one reason, then explain it and give a directly relevant example; use linking phrases to show the relationship between ideas rather than simply introducing another point.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “earn,” “jobs,” “poverty,” “future,” and “save,” so the general subject can be followed. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “bright future” and “important key role.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “short of jobs,” “best earning way,” “spent good life,” and “pointless work activities.” Spelling errors such as “critisim,” “bussiness,” and “Eloun mask” also weaken clarity. Build a topic vocabulary set around budgeting, financial security, income, and future expenses, and check spelling and natural word combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Most sentences use simple patterns, and the reader can identify the main opinion and some supporting points. There are attempts to connect clauses, for example, “Many people in the world have faced different problems,” but control is inconsistent and errors occur frequently. Subject–verb agreement is problematic in “Money play a important key role,” while verb forms and sentence construction are unclear in “These people earn this money sent in home” and “Young people doing jobs and earn money.” Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “a biggest bussiness man.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses using patterns such as “because” and “which.” Check each sentence for a clear subject, correctly formed verb, and appropriate article.
