Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, it is important for people, including young generation to save money for their future. Although many might agree with this statement. I completely agree with this notion, not only because of better for future goals and tough situation. This essay will explore how these factors justify my opinion.

Firstly, the factor that compelled me to agree with this statement is better for future goals, believe that people should every month a small amount save for their goals this activity may encourage the people for achieving goals. For instance, some economic class individuals don't have many assets if they invest a small amount of salary save every month they can achieve the future goals and solve the major issues. Hence, saving money better way for poor people achieving their goals.

Secondly, another major factor that force me to agree with this statement is tough situation, believe that saving money for their future is a good think sometimes people face the serious problems such as, accident or business loss to savings can help on this situation. For example, sometimes people face business loss and panic for money if people save the money to it's use on their bad time. Thus, savings can solve the future problems.

To sum up,it is essential for everyone including young and old people to save money for their future. I completely agree with this statement because, savings can solve the future business losses, serious family matters such as, wife operate and university fees for their childrens.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you state, “I completely agree,” and maintain that view in the conclusion. You also give two relevant reasons—saving for future goals and preparing for difficult circumstances—and illustrate them with examples such as business losses and university fees. However, the ideas are only partly developed. The examples are broad, and the explanation of how regular saving helps people reach goals or manage emergencies is brief and sometimes unclear. The opening also says the essay will explore the reasons rather than introducing a more specific argument. To strengthen the response, explain each example in more detail and address why saving is especially important for young people, as well as for people generally.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a concluding summary. This helps readers identify your main points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long, unclear sentences, and the examples do not always connect smoothly to the claims. Phrases such as “Hence” and “Thus” are used, but the links can feel mechanical rather than showing the precise relationship between ideas. The conclusion also introduces examples that have not been explained in the body. Use clearer topic sentences, develop one point at a time, and make each example directly support the paragraph’s main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “future goals,” “assets,” “business loss,” and “serious problems.” These choices make your general meaning understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the reader work to interpret your meaning. For example, “economic class individuals,” “a good think,” and “wife operate” do not express the intended ideas clearly; “savings” is also repeated frequently. Aim to learn common collocations for personal finance and emergencies, and check word forms and spelling. More precise phrases would help you explain your examples without relying on repeated general terms such as “problems” and “goals.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic complex structures, including “Although many might agree with this statement” and “because savings can solve…”. However, many sentences contain errors in clause structure, verb forms, articles, agreement, or punctuation, and these can make the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “I completely agree with this notion, not only because of better for future goals” lacks a complete grammatical construction, while “people should every month a small amount save” has an unclear word order. The sentence beginning “For example, sometimes people face business loss” also needs clearer sentence boundaries and grammatical links. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using correctly formed subordinate clauses.
