Student answer (Band 6.0)

The debate about whether everyone inclusive of young generation should do money saving, have sparked a hot discussion in several level of societies. I firmly stand with the stance that everyone must save money for their future.

The primary driving force for saving money could be medical emergencies. Though in many countries medical facilities are provided if insured but they cover a very small part of such high expenses i.e., the United States provides medical facilities but the services there are too costlier that a person with average income cannot afford that. So, if people start saving money even smaller amounts every day, they can save an amount for their future. The health-related emergencies are foremost priority linked to save lives. Moreover, when businessmen save money, it can help as buffer to their business when needed without adding new stakeholders or increasing debts.

Another reason to save money, even by younger generations, is the costly college and university courses and difficulty in securing student loans. There are many governments and charity organizations that support the students throughout their studies but for initial processing the candidates are needed to secure place as if the organizations take time to verify the case. The people in remote areas usually come across with difficulty in providing sufficient security for loan. If they tend to save money, they can collect an amount which ultimately will remove the obstacle in securing initial place in colleges and universities as well.

In a nutshell, I firmly accompanied by the view that people of all ages must save money without waiting for sudden aid and leaving with regrets of not securing one's life or place in educational institutes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you firmly support saving, and the conclusion returns to the idea that people of all ages should prepare for the future. You address the prompt with relevant reasons, especially medical emergencies and education costs, and the business example adds another perspective. However, the development is uneven. The medical point includes an example, but the claim about US healthcare is broad and its connection to personal saving could be explained more precisely. The education paragraph introduces loans and support organisations, yet the process and how savings solve the stated obstacle are difficult to follow. To strengthen the response, explain each example more fully and connect it directly to why saving is important for young people as well as adults.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a concluding summary. Signposting such as “The primary driving force,” “Another reason,” and “In a nutshell” helps readers identify the progression. This gives the essay an overall coherent arrangement. At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, the long sentence beginning “There are many governments and charity organizations” moves from student support to initial processing and loan security without making the relationships explicit. The reference to “the obstacle” also requires readers to infer which obstacle is meant. Use shorter units where an explanation has several steps, and make links between claims and examples explicit rather than relying mainly on transition phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range for the topic, including terms such as “medical emergencies,” “student loans,” “stakeholders,” and “increasing debts.” These choices show an attempt to discuss financial and educational issues specifically, and the intended meaning is generally understandable. Some less common expressions are not used naturally or precisely, however: “hot discussion,” “in several level of societies,” and “initial place” do not convey the intended ideas idiomatically. There are also word-form and collocation problems, such as “do money saving” and “foremost priority linked to save lives.” Aim to learn vocabulary in natural combinations and check whether a phrase expresses the exact meaning you intend. More precise wording would make the argument clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including concessive clauses beginning “Though” and conditional sentences with “if.” This gives the response some variety, and the main argument can usually be understood. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For instance, “The debate … have sparked” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “I firmly accompanied by the view” is not a complete, correctly formed clause. The sentence beginning “There are many governments…” also becomes difficult to control as several ideas are joined together. Review agreement and clause formation, and divide long sentences when they contain multiple explanations. Greater control of these patterns would make your complex sentences more reliable.
