Student answer (Band 5.5)

Yes, to some extent I agree with the statement that everyone, including young people should save money for their future.

Saving money is a good practice done by individuals as it help people in their thicks and thins. When in difficulty or emergency a person needs money they can use the savings rather than relying on others to give them money or loans. Sometimes savings can help you in your good times as when you want to celebrate your successes these savings made your day. People who practice of saving money do not find any difficulty when they need it the most rather they can help others when needed. Sometimes you should save money to aid people who do not have money or to orphans for their betterment. If a question arises that how much should i agree with the statement i would say that people should save money but should not compromise on today's needs. As many people are used to never spent money on their whims and wants rather they just store money as much as they can. This make them a greedy person and their overall social images damage. People should be moderate while saving and spending money. Neither they should spend all the money on useless activities nor never spending money even when it is impotant to use. From my knowledge and experience i have closely seen a family who never uses money for having good food, clothes and other daily life stuffs rather they have a huge property made from those money but for me it is not ok to compromise on usefyl things and savings all the time.In contrast my father always spends all the money he have immediately and do not think much more about future savings.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that saving is important, but argue that it should not come at the expense of present needs. You give relevant reasons, including having money for emergencies, celebrating achievements, and helping others, and your examples of two contrasting family approaches support your view. This addresses the question, although some points are more fully explained than others. For instance, the idea that savings can help people celebrate is mentioned but not illustrated, while the family examples could be linked more explicitly to the consequences of saving too much or too little. Develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example, and make the balance in your position clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a discernible overall direction: it moves from benefits of saving to the need for moderation, then gives contrasting examples. However, it is presented as one long paragraph, so the shift from general benefits to your qualification and personal examples is difficult to follow. Several ideas are also joined in a chain, and linking phrases such as “Sometimes” recur without clearly showing how each point relates to the previous one. Use separate paragraphs for your position and reasons, the qualification about present needs, and the examples or conclusion. Clearer transitions and more deliberate sentence boundaries would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “emergency,” “relying on others,” “compromise,” and “moderate,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but some are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “in their thicks and thins,” “made your day,” and “social images damage.” Spelling and word-form slips, including “usefyl” and “impotant,” also reduce precision. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe savings as helping people “through difficult times” and say that excessive saving can “damage their social relationships” or “affect their quality of life.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including conditional and contrastive ideas, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “as it help people,” “people who practice of saving,” “should not compromise on today's needs,” and “my father always spends all the money he have.” Some long sentences combine several ideas without clear punctuation, making the grammar harder to follow. Review subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and divide complex thoughts into shorter, controlled sentences. More accurate use of these structures would make your argument clearer.
