Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear overall view in “I totally agree,” and you give relevant reasons, including rising petrol and food costs and the value of having savings for future needs. However, the response does not develop these points sufficiently: the example about buying a new dress or favourite food is not clearly connected to long-term financial security. You also introduce disagreement about inheritance and selfishness, but the relationship between this point and the question is unclear, and the conclusion ends without completing your reasoning. To strengthen the response, maintain a consistent position, explain how saving benefits young people over time, and support each main idea with a specific, clearly relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion, and phrases such as “for example” and “in my opinion” signal the direction of ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because several points are crowded into long blocks, and the shift from agreeing to disagreeing is not clearly explained. Repeated references to “now a days” and “I feel” do not create clear links between ideas. The final sentence, “somewhere im agree … and somewere i disagree … becouse its,” is incomplete, leaving the argument without a clear ending. Use separate paragraphs for each main reason, connect them with precise linking phrases, and ensure each paragraph develops one central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “save money,” “expenses,” “petrol rates,” “middle class,” and “savings.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, with “helpfull,” “batter,” and “now a days” recurring or appearing in inaccurate forms. Several choices make the intended meaning difficult to understand, such as “people have many thing in his haritage” and “other ans alpha gentation.” Spelling errors are frequent and sometimes obscure key ideas. Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, explain ideas using terms such as “financial security,” “living costs,” and “future expenses,” rather than relying repeatedly on general words like “good” and “helpful.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express reasons and contrast, including with “because” and “somewhere I disagree,” but sentence structures are very limited and errors occur throughout. For example, “I totally agree with this statement becouse that it is very helpfull” has an unnecessary “that,” while “people have many thing in his haritage” has problems with number and agreement. Several sentences run together without clear punctuation, and the final sentence is unfinished. These errors often make relationships between ideas hard to follow. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use simple structures accurately before adding clauses. Check articles, plural forms, pronouns, verb agreement, and sentence boundaries during revision.
