Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You take a position by saying, “I partialy agree,” and give relevant reasons: saving can help young people manage later difficulties and fund a business, while spending everything on clothes, shoes, or vehicles may lead to regret. However, these points are only briefly stated, and the example about earning fifty thousand rupees and saving the remainder is not clearly explained. The conclusion repeats that saving is important rather than clarifying the extent of your agreement. The response also contains 202 words, below the required 250, so the task is not fully developed. To strengthen the response, explain each reason with a clear cause-and-effect link and a specific example, and make your position consistent from introduction to conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
You attempt to organise the response around contrasting views, using “on the one hand” and “one the other hand,” and you include an opening position and a conclusion. These signals show an effort to structure the argument. However, the ideas are presented in one long, difficult-to-follow sequence, with no clear paragraph breaks, and the links between points are often unclear. For example, the move from saving for old age to starting a business is not explained, while “afterthat” and “moreover” do not always show the relationship between the ideas that follow. Use separate paragraphs for your position, each main reason, and the conclusion. Build a clearer sequence with linking phrases that accurately express contrast, result, or example.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response includes some task-relevant vocabulary, such as “save money,” “future,” “old age,” “business,” and “spend,” so the main topic can be recognised. However, the vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make several phrases hard to understand, including “sporting for their furture,” “somever domt,” and “fouthy yearold.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “his time money is very very must for his life.” Aim to use a wider set of accurate phrases for financial planning and consequences, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you express your ideas without relying repeatedly on “money,” “save,” and “spend.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, including a conditional idea beginning “if money have not passes” and a contrast introduced by “on the other hand.” This shows an effort to go beyond isolated simple statements. However, sentence structures are very limited in control, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries often obscure meaning. For instance, “if this his save money then will be sporting” lacks a clear subject and correctly formed verb, while “young people are should think” has an incorrect verb pattern. The long run-on sentences also make relationships between clauses difficult to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using correctly formed clauses and punctuation.
