Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
Your position is clear: you agree that people should save, and you give relevant reasons, including emergencies, personal goals, and retirement. Examples such as medical bills, job loss, buying a home, and starting a business show awareness of the topic. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these points are listed rather than explained or supported with specific examples, and there is no developed discussion of why saving matters particularly for young people. The conclusion is also missing. The response is 135 words, so it does not meet the required minimum of 250 words. Develop each reason in a separate paragraph, explain its effects, and add a relevant example before concluding your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The ideas are grouped around a generally sensible sequence: financial security, emergencies and goals, then retirement. This gives the reader some organisation, and phrases such as “such as” introduce examples. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure or conclusion, and the progression between points is limited. Several ideas are crowded into long stretches, while transitions such as “For your achieving goals” do not clearly show how one point relates to the next. The opening also repeats the general claim before the reasons are developed. Use separate paragraphs for your position, each main reason, and the conclusion; connect them with clear, accurate transitions and refer back to the central argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “financial security,” “personal milestones,” “unexpected crises,” “medical bills,” and “financial independence.” These choices show an attempt to discuss saving beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts difficult to read, for example “expence,” “debth,” “Emergency perspectives,” and “systematic savings helps.” Some phrases are also awkward, such as “for your achieving goals.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. Building a wider set of expressions for budgeting, long-term planning, and financial risk would help you explain your ideas more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas in longer sentences, particularly in the sentence beginning “Emergency perspectives to saving fund covers,” and you use infinitive and gerund forms when listing goals. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “In a my opinion” has an incorrect article pattern, while “setting aside money during your working years ensure” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence about achieving goals also lacks a clear grammatical structure, making the relationship between the ideas difficult to follow. Use shorter, complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Check articles, agreement, sentence boundaries, and punctuation when editing.
