Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the recent years, money has become the backbone of living. It is believed that everyone should save money for their comming days. This is vital for all age groups as well as youth.I firmly agree with this idea beacuse we do not know what will happen with us in future, however we can still accomplish our needs with saved amount.

First of all, it is crucial to save money for everyone, especially for young people. For instance, in young age we are healthy and fit to earn more than our needs. Thus, we can save extra money to cope with the future life when we get old and face health problems. Money saving habbit will be helpful for us to fulfil our needs easily without worring about the future threats or fears

No doubt saving money for the future will not allow you use extra amount for unnecessary or leasure activities, instead that you put that amount just for your oldage by limiting your desires. For example, in young age people can work more and get more to fulfil their needs but in elder life they might have health issues that will need more expences. So, instead of paying on needless things everyone should secure their future.

In my opinion. money is the need of hour but it is also a necessaty of future. While enjoying and fulfilling our needs in present, we should not forget our future. We should always have a solid plan, for future life in the form of savings, to llive same life as we are living in present.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: “I firmly agree,” and the conclusion reinforces the idea that people should plan for the future while meeting present needs. You address the importance of saving for everyone and give relevant reasons, especially the possibility of health problems in old age. The examples about earning while young and facing greater expenses later support your view. This meets the task well, and the response shows some development beyond simply stating an opinion. However, several points repeat the same contrast between present spending and future needs, and the discussion of young people’s particular circumstances remains general. To strengthen the response further, develop a distinct reason—such as education, housing, or financial independence—and explain it with a more specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “For instance,” and “For example” help signal the development of ideas, and the overall argument is understandable. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, with examples repeating the same point about saving while young for old age. Some connections are also unclear: “No doubt saving money… will not allow you use extra amount” does not clearly express how saving relates to limiting unnecessary spending. Paragraphing is appropriate, but the conclusion begins “In my opinion” even though the position has already been stated, and punctuation around sentence boundaries is inconsistent. Use clearer links between each reason and its consequence, and avoid repeating the same supporting idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including relevant terms such as “health problems,” “unnecessary,” “future threats,” and “solid plan.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, for example “the backbone of living” and “secure their future.” However, several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “comming,” “beacuse,” “habbit,” “worring,” “leasure,” “oldage,” “expences,” and “necessaty.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “backbone of living,” “future life,” and “paying on needless things.” These choices sometimes make the meaning less precise, even though the central message remains clear. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for saving, spending, and financial planning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “we do not know what will happen with us in future” and a contrast introduced by “while.” Most ideas can be followed, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “will not allow you use” needs an infinitive marker (“allow you to use”), and “instead that you put” does not form a correct contrast. There are also issues with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “in young age” and “living. It is believed.” The final paragraph includes a sentence fragment-like construction after “plan,” where “for future life” is not smoothly connected to the rest. Practise accurate clause linking, infinitive patterns, and punctuation, while retaining your attempts at varied sentence structures.
