Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you completely agree that saving is important, and you give examples involving an adult saving part of a monthly income and a young person saving pocket money. These examples are relevant, but the response only partly develops the task. Much of the explanation repeats that saving helps people buy things, while the benefits of preparing for future needs or financial difficulties are not explored. Some examples are also unclear—for instance, “they can buy a new car and something huge they are necessary” does not explain precisely what the savings enable. To strengthen the response, develop each main reason with a clear explanation and a specific, realistic example, and make the link between saving and future security more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. “Furthermore” signals the move to the point about young people, and “In conclusion” makes the ending easy to identify. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and several linking phrases feel mechanical or repetitive, including repeated uses of “For instance” and “For example.” References such as “they” and “he” are not always clear, so the reader may have to infer who is being discussed. Organise each body paragraph around one distinct reason, then explain it before giving one focused example. Use pronouns with clear antecedents and vary or reduce linking expressions so the connections between ideas feel more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “save money,” “monthly income,” “pocket money” and “future,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and key words are repeated frequently, especially “money,” “save” and “important.” Several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “saving currency,” “something huge they are necessary” and “basic routine things.” Spelling errors—including “benifical,” “montly” and “acdamic”—also make the writing less clear and reduce control of vocabulary. Build a more precise set of expressions for financial planning and future needs, and check spelling and collocations carefully. Prefer natural phrases such as “set aside part of one’s income” and “cover essential expenses.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer conditional sentences, for example, “if you save money in right time you can achieve everything in the future.” However, control is limited, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement and articles occur throughout. Examples include “members of society saves,” “children saves,” “I am strongly agree,” and “When you saves money.” Some sentences also lack clear grammatical connections, as in “a man whose income is 1 lakh per month and he save20 thousand every month.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and conditional patterns, and separate complete clauses with appropriate punctuation. Aim first for clear, correct sentences before adding more complex structures.
