Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, It is essential for everyone, including young people to save money for their future. I firmly believe on this statement, as the world is approaching towards more modernizm; It is difficult for an individual to survive without money. We already live in a country where more than 50% of population can't afford food for their survivals it is extremely important for us to take a step and save some money for the future.

Firstly, money can be your only surviving tool in the future; it is immensely important for all of us to save money, as the diffcult times can come on anyone. For instance, one medical bill can have a impact in the future; if you don't save money. Nowadays, a single visit of doctor is more costly than paying a rent of an appartment. Furthmore, other expenses and daily living costs such as; petrol, utilities and groceries are also becoming expensive day by day although our salaries have only one increment in a year.

Secondly, money can play a pivtol role in providing education; as it is very important to become educated; poor people who can't afford education they enroll their child to the government institutes and while living in Pakistan their is no validity of learning education from the government institutes. In contrast, rich people children learn education from top notch private institutes which further strengthens their future. For example, in Pakistan private education is more expensive then a whole year salary of a labor meanwhile, in the government schools they don't enroll child without having advance fee of six months. This significantly shows how important it is to save money for the future.

In conclusion, I vividly agree with this point of view of saving money for the future as we all need money in the future including young people also, it can play important role for nearly everything in the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the opening—“I firmly believe”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons for saving, particularly unexpected medical costs and the role of money in accessing education, with examples linked to Pakistan. This addresses the task, but the reasons are not developed equally: the education paragraph makes broad claims about public and private institutions without explaining how saving specifically helps young people meet these costs. The opening claim about people being unable to afford food is also not connected clearly to your argument. To strengthen the response, explain the practical link between each example and future savings, and qualify generalisations with more precise support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. The main ideas are generally easy to follow, and examples are placed alongside the relevant reasons. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “although our salaries have only one increment in a year” does not clearly show how this supports the preceding point about rising costs. The education paragraph also moves from private schools to government-school fees without a clear transition explaining the comparison. Use linking phrases to show cause, contrast, or consequence more precisely, and make references such as “this” explicitly identify the idea they refer to.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “medical bill,” “daily living costs,” “utilities,” and “private institutes,” which helps communicate your examples. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “pivtol role” and “vividly agree,” but inaccurate spelling and collocation reduce precision. Other choices, including “surviving tool,” “validity of learning,” and “top notch,” sound unnatural or do not express the intended meaning clearly. Spelling errors such as “diffcult,” “appartment,” and “Furthmore” are noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural combinations of words and check spelling; this would make your vocabulary more effective without needing unnecessarily complex terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if you don't save money” and clauses introduced by “as” and “although.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation recur. For example, “one medical bill can have a impact” has an article error, while “poor people who can't afford education they enroll their child” combines clauses without a correct grammatical link. In “their is no validity,” the subject and verb form are incorrect. Capitalisation after commas and semicolons is also inconsistent. Practise building complex sentences with clear clause boundaries, and proofread for articles, agreement, and punctuation.
