Student answer (Band 6.0)

In contemporary society, managing money is vital life skill. I completely agree with the idea of saving money specially the young people should learn how to save money because it is very essential to save money for the future. Saving helps the people to face unxpected emergencies in life and to achieve the personal goal.

Firstly, it is very important for young people to save money for th efiture because lif is unpredictable, we should be ready to face those problems, anybody can have emergency such loss of job, getting sick or emergency of repair of car or it can be accident where huge amount is needed for surgery. Subsequently, in case of economic crises. For example, in covid 2020 economic crises happen where people are jobless and some are doing work from home they are getting low salaries. However, people who saves the money are able to pay bills in economic crises. While the people who are jobless and do not save money, they buy loans from the bank. As a result they have to pay huge debt. So it is very important to save money for the future.

Secondly, laerning to save early is extermely beneficial for the young adults. When a young people start their career, they usually have big goals for the future such as buying own house, achieving a degree or starting a new family. Consequently it is very important to saving small amountof money every month. Furhermore, starting early gives the money more time to grow over the years. Therefore, this means they do not rely on banks for loans. These gives them independenceas they grow older.

In conclusion, i strongly believes it is very crucial for the young individula learn to save money because it help in the times of emergencies and gives them independence. Moreover theyu cannot rely on banks for financial help.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

Your position is clear from the opening—“I completely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the importance of saving for both emergencies and longer-term goals, supporting these points with examples such as job loss, illness, car repairs, and buying a home. This gives the response relevant development and explains why saving matters. To strengthen the argument further, make the examples more precise and explain their implications rather than relying on broad claims. For instance, the reference to the COVID-19 crisis could show more clearly how savings helped people meet expenses, while the point about money growing over time could be developed by explaining the benefit of starting early. Overall, the task is addressed clearly, though some support is generalised.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument, and the ideas generally progress from emergency savings to future goals. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility expected at the next level. However, linking is sometimes mechanical, with repeated “Therefore,” “As a result,” and “So,” and a few connections are unclear. For example, “Subsequently, in case of economic crises” is not a complete or well-connected transition, and “These gives them independence” has an unclear reference. Use fewer formulaic linkers and make the relationship between each example and its main point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “unpredictable,” “emergencies,” “economic crises,” “debt,” and “independence.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and phrases such as “personal goal” and “starting early” show an attempt to discuss both immediate and long-term benefits. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the reader pause: “buy loans from the bank,” “huge amount is needed for surgery,” and “big goals” could be expressed more naturally and precisely. Spelling errors such as “unxpected,” “laerning,” and “extermely” also weaken control. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for saving, borrowing, and financial planning, and proofread spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea in “When a young people start their career” and a relative clause in “people who saves the money.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence structure and basic grammar are frequent enough to limit accuracy. Examples include missing articles in “vital life skill” and “buying own house,” subject–verb disagreement in “people who saves” and “I strongly believes,” and the faulty construction “it is very important to saving.” Some sentences also run together or lack clear punctuation, particularly in the first body paragraph. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns, then check each sentence for a complete and clearly punctuated structure.
