Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people believe that saved money will be beneficial for everyone, including young genereation, for their better future. I strongly agree with this opinion, because saving money gives you security nad helps in difficult times.

On the one hand, saving money is necessary for everyone including youth, because life is very unpredictable. Anyone can face problems like health issues, accidents, and losing a job. If young people start saving money in early age, it will be helpful for them in future. For example, if a student or young people have some savings, they can use their money for education, buying a car, or starts a small business, in case of unemployment. They do not need to borrow money from others during any type of emergency. They can use their saved money.

Furthermore, saving money helps young people to become independent and achieve their goals. If they do not save, they might waste their money on unnecessary thing and face financial issues later in life. In addition, financial problems teaches everyone especially young people, how to manage their life and make good dicisions. I could also prefer that saving money is beneficial fo

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear from the opening: “I strongly agree,” and you give relevant reasons, including financial security during emergencies and greater independence for young people. The examples of using savings for education, a car, or a small business help connect your ideas to the topic. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the reasons are briefly explained and the final point is cut off at “I could also prefer that saving money is beneficial fo”. The response also contains 192 words, below the required 250, so there is not enough development to fully support your position. Extend each reason with explanation or a specific example, and complete the conclusion by restating your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Furthermore,” and “In addition.” This helps the reader follow the main points about emergencies and independence. However, the progression is not fully controlled. “On the one hand” suggests a contrasting point, but no corresponding “on the other hand” follows, and several ideas in the first body paragraph repeat the point that savings can be used in an emergency. The final sentence is incomplete, leaving the response without a clear ending. Organise each paragraph around one distinct reason, use linking expressions that accurately show the relationship between ideas, and add a complete conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “unpredictable,” “emergency,” “independent,” and “financial issues.” These choices show an attempt to discuss saving beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “young genereation,” “in early age,” “unnecessary thing,” and “make good dicisions.” Spelling errors such as “nad,” “dicisions,” and “fo” also reduce accuracy. Repetition of “saving money,” “young people,” and “use their money” limits flexibility. Build a wider set of precise phrases for savings, financial security, and future planning, and proofread spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If young people start saving money…,” and these generally make your meaning understandable. However, control is uneven, particularly in longer sentences. For example, “if a student or young people have some savings” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “they can use their money for education, buying a car, or starts a small business” mixes grammatical forms in a list. There are also errors in “financial problems teaches everyone” and “in early age.” The final sentence is incomplete, and punctuation and sentence boundaries need checking. Practise consistent agreement, parallel structures, and complete sentence construction while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
