Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years, money play crucial role in everyones life and saving money for future is better investments for individuals ,it has become a widely discussed issue. I strongly agree with this view because it gives financial security and reduced stress.

The primary reason why I support this view is that saving money by younger generations should give financial security. This is because it helps people to deal with unexcepted expenses and it also reduces dependence on loans and borrowing. For example, if people have stable income source they can invest in long-term opportunities which helps them in their future. As a result, saving money also help people to become independent and mature.

Another important reason is that it also reduced stress. In other words, Provides peace of mind during financial difficulties.Allows people to feel more confident about their future. This can be illustrated by people who save funds they have no worries of health problems. Therefore, it can improves health conditions and people lessely stressed about things which can triger them.

Despite these, there are some points why saving money reduced quality of life .This can be explained as People may avoid enjoyable activities and experiences. For example: Someone who saves excessively might miss opportunities to travel or spend time with family.

In conclusion, I firmly agree that saving money should gives better lifestyles, it also built future goals and good investments make life much more easier for people and that make this position more convincing.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that saving is important, and you give relevant reasons—financial security and reduced stress—along with a counterpoint about missing enjoyable experiences. However, the reasons are only partly developed. For instance, the example about a stable income and long-term opportunities does not clearly show how saving itself creates those opportunities, while the health-related example is difficult to follow. The counterargument is also brief and is not weighed against your main position. The response is five words below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. Develop each point with a clearer explanation and a specific example, and make the conclusion reflect the balance of your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, a counterargument and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow your main position. You also use signposting such as “The primary reason,” “Another important reason” and “In conclusion.” However, some links are mechanical or unclear. In the stress paragraph, “In other words” is followed by sentence fragments rather than a clear explanation, and “Despite these” does not specify which points are being contrasted. The ideas about health and stress are also joined abruptly. To improve progression, connect each example explicitly to its paragraph’s main claim and use complete sentences with clear references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial security,” “dependence on loans,” “long-term opportunities” and “peace of mind.” These phrases show an attempt to discuss saving beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts of the message less clear, such as “unexcepted expenses,” “people lessely stressed” and “triger them.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “better investments” and “built future goals” do not convey your intended meaning naturally. Aim to use accurate topic-specific phrases and check spelling and word forms. More precise vocabulary would make your explanations clearer without requiring more complicated wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a conditional example beginning “if.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement and verb forms occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “money play crucial role,” “saving money also help,” “it can improves,” and “saving money should gives.” The sentence beginning “In other words” is incomplete, as are the following statements about peace of mind and confidence. Punctuation also creates run-on sentences, particularly in the opening and conclusion. Practise forming complete sentences, checking subject–verb agreement and using consistent verb forms; then proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries.
