Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is significant for everyone, including adult people, to save money for their future. In my view, I completely agree with this statement because it helps them in their upcoming life and it is security for them.

On the one hand, saving money is the best way that help to people in the future because if a person save money and after sometime they decide to start a business, so it give lots of benefits. In addition, when a person save money for the future after sometime they wanted to buy something and these thing is crucial for this. For instance, if a student wanted to study abroad and the study abroad fees is very high. In spite of they go to abroad because they save money as well as a person wanted to start a business and they needs a lot of money to start this business so its help them in their goal.

On the other hand, many people are saving money for the one reason that believe it is our financiall security because in life a person face those critical stitution that need a lot of money. For example, if a person are stuck in court problem so they spend a lot of money for this to solve this case. Furthermore, when a person save money for the future so that person are going to confidents because they think I face very types of challenging. As a result, saving money is best for very types of stituation.

In conclusion, I strongly agree with thsi statement because saving money is more beneficial for every whether that are study issue and that are business, saving money help it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address relevant reasons for saving, including funding study or a business and having money available for legal difficulties. These examples show a sound response to the question. However, some points are more fully explained than others: the study-abroad example is specific, while the business and court examples are mentioned without explaining how savings would help in practice. The claim that saving makes people “confidents” also needs clearer development. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each example and connect them directly to why saving matters for young people as well as adults.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting benefits, and a conclusion. The contrastive signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” along with “For instance” and “Furthermore,” help readers follow the main points. However, the two body paragraphs largely support the same position rather than developing distinct sides, so the progression of ideas is not always clear. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “this” in “this is crucial for this” and “they” in the business example make it difficult to identify exactly what is meant. Organise each paragraph around one distinct benefit, then use clearer references and explain how each example supports that benefit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial security,” “study abroad,” “business,” and “challenging,” so the reader can understand the general message. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “save money,” “for the future,” and “a person.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “adult people,” “court problem,” and “saving money is best for very types of situation.” Spelling errors, including “financiall,” “stituation,” and “thsi,” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of natural expressions for financial planning and emergencies, and check spelling and collocations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons and examples, such as the sentence beginning “For instance, if a student wanted to study abroad.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “saving money is the best way that help,” “if a person save money,” and “a person are stuck.” The final sentence is also difficult to parse because its clauses are not joined clearly. Practise keeping conditional sentences and subject–verb agreement accurate, and divide long sentences when several ideas are being combined.
