Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is vital for every individual including the young generation to save money for their future. I strongly agree with the statement given that the resources can be used during unexpected emergencies as well as to plan for a better future. Although some individuals refrain to think about future and believes to live in the moment and spent like there is no tomorrow which could lead to detrimental financial decisions.
Money can be saved in various ways starting from investing in properties , purchasing gold ,buying a house and so on. When individuals spent money wisely and save up for their future it enables them to have the ease of never running out of money especially for elderly people. For instance, when people over the age 55 retires from their occupation they do not have to worry about the expenses that they have to make for a living. In addition, people can use the resources for any unanticipated circumstances such as medical emergencies or nationwide lockdown. Moreover, young generation can also be benifitted in several ways such as, they can support their parents and also plan for higher education given that some of the expenses can be covered by those little savings.
However, there are certain individuals that mistreat money and do not have a proper financial plan for the future. They believe in living at the moment and never thinks about the upcoming days treating money like dirt. They tend to spend more on materialistic amenities that happen to serve no value in the future. This sort of irresponsible financial planning could lead to a lot of future challenges. For example, I know this person who had an enormours amount of money. He had about 8 or 9 cars and used to spend cash on random stuffs but he never really invested on something meaningful like a house. The same person is now facing difficulties to pay the rent of the house he is living in.In addition, he does not have enough resources to cover up for his medical costs or provide for his family expenditures.
To conclude, the benifits of saving adequetly for the future outweighs the drawbacks of not saving. According to me it is a financialy wise decision to save up for the future to overcome any future challenges that may arrive at any given time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the main issue with relevant reasons: savings can provide for retirement, emergencies, education, and family support. The examples, particularly the account of someone who spent heavily but later struggled with rent and medical costs, help illustrate the consequences of not planning. This gives the response a clear, supported argument. To strengthen it further, develop some points with more precise explanation: for example, clarify how young people can begin saving despite limited income, or explain the practical benefits of particular saving methods. The discussion of investment options is introduced but not connected in detail to your central argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay has a clear overall progression: an introduction states your view, the body paragraphs present benefits and risks, and the conclusion restates your position. Paragraphing is appropriate, and signposts such as “For instance,” “However,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument. There is also a logical movement from general benefits to a personal example. At times, however, several ideas are packed into long sentences, especially in the second paragraph, which makes the relationships between points less clear. Some transitions, including repeated “In addition,” feel formulaic. Use clearer sentence boundaries and vary the links between ideas; also make references such as “the resources” more explicit so readers can immediately identify what is meant.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “unexpected emergencies,” “financial plan,” “materialistic,” and “unanticipated circumstances.” These choices allow you to discuss saving, spending, and future security with some variety. You also attempt more formal expressions, although some are not used naturally: “mistreat money,” “random stuffs,” and “cover up for my medical costs” are imprecise or awkward in context. Spelling errors such as “benifitted,” “enormours,” and “adequetly” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “manage money poorly,” “unnecessary purchases,” and “meet medical costs” to express these ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, using clauses with “although,” “when,” and “given that” to connect ideas. The overall meaning is generally clear, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make sentences difficult to process. For example, “some individuals … believes” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “they … never thinks” repeats this problem. Verb forms are also inconsistent in “spent like there is no tomorrow,” and the opening sentence fragment beginning “Although some individuals…” is not joined to a main clause. Review agreement, tense consistency, and sentence boundaries, and proofread punctuation around longer sentences. More accurate control of these patterns would make your complex ideas easier to follow.
