Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is significant for individuals, including youth to save money for their future. I partially agree that saving money for the future gives a sense of financial secuity however, focusing only on saving for the future might ruin the present.
Financial literacy is an important factor that people should know, as it can help in the future to bare expenses. If a person has an habit of saving up they commonly have a sense of financial freedom in the furture without worrying about emergencies. Young ones should also learn how to save money as it develops a habbit with time and eventually it would help them in the future. For instance, a student who saves small amount of money from his daily expenses can eventualy save a sufficent amount, which can be used to pay for their higher education. They can also purchase their favourtie things from this capital. Ultimately, the young ones would realize how to use their funds including saving small amounts for the future wihtout wasting money.
However, if a person only focus on saving up for the future, it can ruin their present. when young adults focus entirely on long term savings it will have a negative effect as well, they will exclude some important opportunites like traveling to broaden their vision and networking on social events
In conclusion, I would say saving up for the future is a important aspect for everyone including young adults. However, only focusing on saving for the future might effect the present negatively.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you partially agree because saving provides security, but excessive saving can reduce enjoyment and opportunities in the present. You address both sides and give relevant examples, particularly the student saving towards higher education. This meets the task well overall. However, the supporting ideas are not equally developed: the benefits of saving receive several explanations, while the point about travel and networking is introduced but not explained with a specific consequence or example. The claim that young people can buy favourite things from savings also needs clearer connection to your main argument. To strengthen the response, develop the counterargument and show more precisely how a balanced approach benefits people’s future without sacrificing important present-day experiences.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the benefits and drawbacks of saving, and a conclusion that restates your position. The progression from financial security to the risk of over-saving is easy to follow, and signposts such as “For instance,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. Some connections are less smooth or precise, though. The sentence about purchasing favourite things does not clearly advance the explanation, and the final sentence of the first body paragraph repeats the idea of saving small amounts. The paragraph on present-day costs ends abruptly after “social events,” without explaining the point further. Develop each paragraph to a clear endpoint and use references that make the relationship between examples and claims explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “financial literacy,” “financial freedom,” “emergencies,” “higher education,” and “long-term savings.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some topic-specific phrasing. However, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations reduce accuracy, such as “secuity,” “bare expenses,” “a habit,” and “sufficent amount.” “Capital” is also not the most natural word for money saved in this context. Aim for more accurate collocations and proofread spelling carefully; these improvements would make your vocabulary more precise and fluent. You can also avoid repeating “save” and “future” by using suitable alternatives such as “set money aside” and “long-term financial security.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if a person only focus on saving up for the future” and a relative clause in “a student who saves small amount of money.” The overall meaning is generally clear, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, the conditional needs subject–verb agreement (“a person … focuses”), and “a student who saves small amount” needs an article before “small amount.” The opening sentence also joins two independent ideas with “however” without appropriate punctuation, while “when young adults…” begins with a lowercase letter after a full stop. Review agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, and vary sentence structures while checking that each complex sentence is complete and correctly punctuated.
