Student answer (Band 4.5)

Todays, it is importan for everyone, including young people, to save money for their future. I an strongaly agree because cost is very impportant for humans plus people can used by money for defficult time. Furthermore, cost has used for everytime as well as persons are earn money with lifetime.

On the one hand, money is most important foe everyone. Firstly, young people are mostly using for money because young people has go to abroad strugal with the work, because they strugal they femilies and cost was used by everytime example: study by son and doughters, wheares they are earn money because they are changing by our future and strugal by food because food buy the cost and they are buy the clothes and coming to be many culture and this time using by money, although this time you are drink to be water but you are buying and this time using by cost. Furthermore money is mostly important for everyone.

On the other hand, this genaretion including youbg people, to save money for their future beacause humans are strugal with work and gone to abroad and earn money plus they are earn money and enjoy the they life because humans are very high level save cost and do not waste money and they are they desurbing the peacefull and enjoyfull future. Example: my uncle has strugal for study and they are completing our study and open to one busness and they will sucessed by they life and high level earn for cost and they are enjoy for life.

In conclusion, i think this eaasay withh i am strongaly agrree because this time money is moct important for rveryone, including young people, to save cost for their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear position in the introduction (“I … strongly agree”) and return to it in the conclusion. The response also gives relevant reasons, including the need to meet everyday costs and prepare for difficult times, and the uncle’s experience is intended as an example. However, the task is only partially addressed because these ideas are difficult to follow and are not explained sufficiently. The first body paragraph lists spending on study, food and clothes without clearly showing how saving helps young people’s future; the second mentions your uncle’s business but does not explain the link between his experience and the general claim. Develop two clear reasons and explain each with a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The essay has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to organise the response. However, the ideas do not progress clearly within the paragraphs. The first body paragraph moves from young people going abroad to family struggles, education, food, clothes and water, making the central point hard to identify. Several sentences are joined into long chains, and repeated references to money do not clarify how the ideas relate. Plan each paragraph around one main reason, then use shorter sentences and clear links between the explanation and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The response uses a small set of relevant words, including “save money,” “future,” “study,” “business” and “earn,” so the general topic is apparent. However, vocabulary is basic and highly repetitive, especially repeated uses of “money” and “cost.” Numerous spelling errors and inaccurate word choices strain the reader, as in “strugal,” “femilies,” “desurbing” and “high level save cost.” Some phrases are also unclear or unnatural, such as “coming to be many culture” and “enjoy the they life.” Build a more precise range for discussing personal finance and future security, and check spelling and collocations. For example, distinguish “living expenses” from “savings” rather than using “cost” for both.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic linking structures, but control of sentence formation is limited. Errors in verb forms and agreement occur frequently, for example “people can used,” “young people has go” and “they are earn money.” Articles, pronouns and sentence boundaries are also often inaccurate, as in “open to one busness” and the extended sentence beginning “Firstly, young people are mostly using for money.” These problems make several ideas difficult to understand. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one subordinate clause at a time. Check subject–verb agreement and keep pronouns consistent when describing your uncle’s experience.
