Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that saving is important, and you give relevant reasons, including supporting children’s education and healthcare, coping with emergencies, and funding future investments. These points address the question and are supported with examples, such as medical treatment and business investment. However, the discussion of parents saving for their children receives more explanation than the claim about young people, which is introduced mainly in the final body paragraph. The investment point is also asserted rather than illustrated or explained in detail. Develop the youth-focused argument with a specific reason or example, and explain how each example demonstrates the value of saving. This would make the response more consistently developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Additionally,” “Moreover,” and “To sum up” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the paragraph beginning “Overall population earns” moves from basic needs to parents’ responsibilities without a clear transition, and the investment idea is added to the emergency-savings point rather abruptly. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, while punctuation around them makes connections harder to follow. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain and exemplify it in sequence. Clearer references to who is saving and whose future is meant would also improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “financial reserve,” “financial pressure,” “essential facilities,” and “living standard.” These choices show an effort to discuss savings and future security, but a limited range and frequent inaccurate word forms or collocations sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “quality full life,” “monetary value,” and “convert them into a responsible human beings” are not natural expressions in this context. Spelling errors such as “unpredictiable” and “circumastances” also reduce accuracy. Build a more reliable set of topic phrases and check whether words combine naturally; precise, familiar expressions are more effective than ambitious but unclear wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if they want to invest” and a clause beginning “where individuals often…” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. For example, “While I am agree” has an incorrect verb form, and “it would required” does not use the correct verb pattern. The opening fragment beginning “Where current savings…” is also not a complete sentence. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Review subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and use punctuation to separate complete ideas.
