Student answer (Band 5.5)
Financial literacy plays a vital role when it comes to learn management skills. Management skills involve managing every aspect of your life in a effective and efficient manner. Parents must ensure that, they start developing these skills in their children from a early age. In this way, they can get better at these skills over time that could help them in later ages.
It is very important for everyone, including young people, to save money for their future. Even though, young people can look up to their guardian when ever any emergency situation arise but in order to develop a sense of independence in them it is very important that they learn how to deal with their finances. They must learn to form a budget for themselves. For example when they get their pocket money, or money from any other hustle they must know how much to spend where and how much a particular amount they have to save for themselves.
In order to build this potential in people so that they can save money, it is very important that one must educate other on the importance of saving money. Using your money wisely and investing it on the productive scale can take you to the moon. For example, saving a particular amount every month and then after a certain time period when it sums up to a larger amount. This opens doors to invest this money in various platform. As a result this money is double up.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a relevant, generally supportive position, stating that saving is important for everyone and explaining that it can foster independence and help people manage emergencies. The examples about budgeting pocket money and saving monthly give the response a useful connection to the topic. However, the discussion remains limited: the investment point is asserted rather than explained, and the opening comments on financial literacy and parental responsibility do not clearly develop the argument. The response also contains 236 words, below the required 250; 12 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or specific example, and make your degree of agreement explicit in the introduction and conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable paragraph structure: it introduces financial literacy, discusses young people’s budgeting, and then turns to education and investment. Examples such as pocket money help connect claims to practical situations. However, progression between paragraphs is not always clear, and the final paragraph repeats the general importance of saving rather than building a distinct next step in the argument. Some linking expressions are awkward or mechanical, including “Even though” at the start of a sentence and “As a result” before an unclear outcome. Use topic sentences that signal each paragraph’s purpose, and make references such as “this money” and “this potential” more precise so the reader can follow the reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “financial literacy,” “budget,” “finances,” “emergency situation,” and “investing,” which gives the response an appropriate subject focus. There are also attempts at more expressive phrasing, such as “opens doors.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or informal, which limits precision: “money from any other hustle,” “investing it on the productive scale,” and “this money is double up” do not express the intended ideas naturally. “Take you to the moon” is also too informal for this essay. Aim for standard academic phrasing and check how verbs combine with prepositions; for example, explain that regular saving can provide capital for investment and potentially generate returns.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “when they get their pocket money” and a contrast introduced with “Even though.” Meaning is generally recoverable, but errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms. Examples include “when it comes to learn,” “in a effective,” “from a early age,” “when ever any emergency situation arise,” and “this money is double up.” The long opening sentence also has an unclear relative clause (“that could help them in later ages”). Practise accurate infinitive and gerund patterns, subject–verb agreement, and article use, then proofread each sentence for a complete, correctly formed clause. Clearer sentence boundaries would also improve readability.
