Student answer (Band 6.0)
Whether savings for people of different walks is beneficial or not is a subject of debate. Although, it minimizes individuals current lifestyle, I believe storing wealth helps to mitigate sudden difficulties and provides a better living condition for next generations.
On the one hand, especially young people have a negative tendency to save money for future. They suppose that it affects their present livelihood. Individuals can not spend salaries to fulfil luxurious demands if they think for upcoming time. They have to sacrifice some important aspects which may lead to poor lives. A person must reduce his expenditure and save the money for future. In fact, they are not sure whether this stored wealth benefit them or not in upcoming days. For example, a middle class person is unable to go restaurant one or two times within a month with his/her family when allocates a considerable amount for deposit in a bank.
However, a wise man should be aware of possible threat that may be detrimental to family. Today’s world faces variety of challenges that can be more serious. Even though someone has enough money, he may fall in trouble due to unaware about possible risks. For example, we have already passed through a global pandemic and no one knows when such situation again will come. Furthermore, we are obliged to our children to ensure a healthy lifestyle for them. Therefore, someone should not waste entire income in handling ongoing needs.
In conclusion, saving money may affect present situation, but it places a person in an advantageous condition to overcome near obstacles and guaratees a better lives for upcoming generations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that saving is important, while acknowledging that it can restrict present-day spending. The response addresses the main issue and gives relevant reasons, including protection from unexpected hardship and support for children, with the pandemic and family spending as examples. This fits a response that covers the task, although some points are developed more fully than others. The discussion of reduced leisure spending is understandable, but the claim that saving “provides a better living condition for next generations” is asserted rather than explained. To strengthen the argument, clarify how savings help young people specifically—for example, by funding education, housing, or emergencies—and explain the link between each example and your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “However” signal the shift from the disadvantages of saving to its benefits, so the reader can follow the main progression. Some connections are less precise or mechanical, however. For instance, “Therefore” introduces the point about not spending all one’s income, but the relationship to the preceding claim about children could be made clearer. References such as “they” and “someone” also shift between general people and individuals, which occasionally makes the focus less consistent. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, and connect examples explicitly to that claim to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “mitigate,” “detrimental,” “considerable amount,” and “ongoing needs.” These choices show an effort to express more than basic ideas, and the overall meaning remains understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “people of different walks,” “poor lives,” and “upcoming time.” There are also spelling and form issues, including “guaratees” and “a better lives,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations and precise phrasing rather than choosing formal-sounding words that do not fit the context. Reading and noting common collocations about personal finance would help make your vocabulary more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including concession clauses such as “Although…” and “Even though someone has enough money…”. Most ideas can be understood, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make relationships between ideas less clear. Examples include the missing possessive in “individuals current lifestyle,” the agreement error in “this stored wealth benefit them,” and the construction “due to unaware about possible risks.” Articles and number also need attention in “go restaurant” and “a better lives.” Review possessives, subject–verb agreement, articles, and the grammatical patterns following prepositions. Proofreading each sentence for these features would improve control while preserving your attempts at complex structures.
