Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you state, “I totally agree,” and return to the importance of saving in the conclusion. You also give two relevant reasons—meeting future needs and coping with adverse circumstances—and include examples involving young people in Pakistan and gold in Dubai. However, these examples are asserted rather than explained, and the point about government bank accounts does not clearly show how this encourages saving or supports your argument. The discussion of future purchases is also vague (“a heavy bank statement or to buy a new mention”), so the reader cannot fully understand the intended examples. Develop each reason with a specific, clearly explained illustration and show more directly why saving matters to young people.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “To begin with,” “Therefore,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. The ideas generally follow a sensible order, but connections within paragraphs are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, the move from future purposes to “a heavy bank statement” is difficult to follow, and the government-account example is not explicitly linked back to the claim about young people saving. Repetition of “save money” and “future” also makes progression feel limited. Use clearer links between each claim and its example, and vary referencing so that repeated ideas are connected without simply restating them.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “adverse conditions,” “investment,” “trustworthy company,” and “future needs,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. There are also attempts to use less common expressions, such as “paramount” and “detrimental conditions.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or obscure the intended meaning: “pay attention on savings,” “a new mention,” and “thought provoking approach” do not express the ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “despensable” and “conculsion” are noticeable, while repeated use of “money” and “save” limits range. Prioritise accurate, natural collocations and check spelling; precise everyday vocabulary is more effective than an ambitious but unclear phrase.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “This is mainly because” and a conditional idea about what people may need in future. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors occur across verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Examples include “money play” instead of “money plays,” “individual know” instead of “individuals know,” and “government allot bank accounts,” where the verb form and tense need attention. The opening sentence beginning “Although” is not a complete sentence, and “whose requirements increasing” is missing a verb. Practise building complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms. More accurate control of these patterns would make your argument easier to follow.
