Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you partly agree and argue that people should balance saving with enjoying the present. You address both sides with relevant reasons, including unexpected medical costs, long-term goals, retirement, hobbies and travel. These examples show good coverage of the question. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that saving helps people avoid disturbing their children could be clarified, and the benefits of present-day spending could be linked more directly to why saving should not take priority in every case. To strengthen the response, develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or a specific example, and make the balance in your position more precise throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs presenting the two sides, and a conclusion. The progression from financial security to present enjoyment is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. At times, however, these links feel mechanical, and some connections between sentences are unclear. For example, “Because it help to improve people’s quality of life” is a fragment, while the final sentences repeat the idea that the present will not return without clearly connecting it to the conclusion. Use a wider range of linking methods, make references between ideas explicit, and ensure each paragraph develops a clear central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial security,” “unexpected expenses,” “long term goals,” “financial strain,” and “quality of life.” These phrases help communicate the main ideas, and there is some attempt to use less common language. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable, including “severval,” “finacial,” “emegency,” and “indepedant.” Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “meet with unexpected expenses,” “complete their long term goals,” and “enduring a stable and secure future.” These choices sometimes make the reader pause, even though the intended meaning is generally recoverable. Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships, such as “deal with unexpected expenses” and “achieve long-term goals.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If individuals only stay focus on saving wealth then they miss their present life.” However, control is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include subject–verb agreement (“it provide,” “saving money help”), incorrect verb forms (“people make balance”), and incomplete sentences such as “Because it help to improve people’s quality of life.” Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “buying house” and the opening’s full stop after “important.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a supporting clause, then check agreement, articles and punctuation. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
