Student answer (Band 6.5)

It is often argued that people , especially young people should develop the habit of saving money to secure their financial future . I strongly agree with that because it is a very helpful habit and also provides financial stability . From this habit young people can tackle the financial unexpected circumstances and prepare themselves to achieve their long -term goals.

One of the primary fact is that saving money plays a role like a financial security during circumstances . Life is unpredictable , any individual should save some amount that can be beneficial for them in their bad days. People usually gain the ability to become more independent through this because you are not anymore relaying on someone to help you . Young people shoul spend wisely keeping this kinf of thought in their minds . Excessively purchasing and buying over-priced products can be very dangerous for them.

As an example , Lets suppose a university student is doing a part time job with his\her studies and from that income other than basic needs spending they are saving some amount , which can be eventually enough to support their studies .This usually reduce their financial burden.

Admittedly, enjoying life and spending money on personal interests are equally important. However, this does not mean that people should neglect their future financial responsibilities. A balanced approach, in which individuals allocate a reasonable proportion of their income to savings while meeting their present needs, is the most sensible strategy.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that saving money is a crucial habit for people of all ages, especially young individuals. It provides financial protection, promotes independence and makes it easier to achieve future ambitions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the central issue with relevant reasons: savings can provide protection in difficult circumstances, encourage independence and help young people meet future goals. The university-student example also supports your point. The balanced paragraph acknowledging present enjoyment adds some nuance. However, the discussion is not equally developed throughout: the first body paragraph makes several broad claims, while the example is brief and does not explain in detail how savings support the student’s studies. To strengthen the response, develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or a more specific example, and connect the example directly to the benefits you identify.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, moving from your position to supporting reasons, an example, a qualification and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and signposts such as “As an example,” “Admittedly” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. Some connections are less smooth or precise, however. The opening of the second paragraph, “One of the primary fact,” does not clearly introduce the point, and “From this habit” in the introduction has an unclear reference. The example paragraph also feels short and somewhat detached from the preceding discussion. Use more precise links between claims and evidence, and make sure each paragraph develops one central idea before moving on.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “financial stability,” “financial burden,” “financial responsibilities” and “long-term goals.” These phrases help communicate your position, and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more specific expression, but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “financial unexpected circumstances,” “plays a role like a financial security” and “over-priced products.” Spelling and word-form slips, including “shoul” and “kinf,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe savings as a “safety net” for “unexpected expenses.” This would make your vocabulary more precise and fluent without requiring unnecessarily complex wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including the conditional example beginning “If a university student is doing a part time job” and the concession introduced by “Although” in the final body paragraph. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For instance, “One of the primary fact is” has a number-agreement problem, and “This usually reduce” needs a plural subject or a singular verb. The sentence “People usually gain the ability … because you are not anymore…” also shifts from third person to second person. Punctuation around commas and spaces is inconsistent, and some sentences would benefit from clearer clause structure. Review agreement, pronoun consistency and sentence boundaries to improve control.
