Student answer (Band 5.5)

The prompt claims that it is important for individuals as well as minor to save funds for their future. I agree with this statement because it will give you many optionality to persue the hobbies that is now a farway dream.

Admittedly, saving money is a good thing because it will give you a boost for opportunity that are upcoming. Individuals try their hardest at work or in a public confrontation because they know that doing best at everything will give them a sense of pleasure also a high chance for a raise added that they can save a lot more. For example, a person have some sort of goals that are still to be fullfilled but of current state of life is making that goal hard for them to achieve it so they try to stack funds from their sallery to reach their dream state.

In contrast, minors have a very specific state of mind because in their stage the are ver immature that want to save money for their happiness in that state. They use it to buy gaming console instead of saving money to reach a better educational college. But some have very good insight if they are from a middle class family. So, in that circumstance they read the situations well and do various part-times to help themselfs into getting admitted into the top college.

In conclusion, I think it is a good experience for all individuals including young to stack money for future purposes and better outcome.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that saving is important, and you discuss both adults and young people. The examples about saving from a salary to pursue a goal and working part-time to attend college are relevant. However, the response only partly develops the argument. The opening focuses on saving to pursue hobbies, while the body shifts to career opportunities and education without explaining how saving benefits people’s future more broadly. The point about minors spending on gaming consoles is also asserted rather than supported with a clear explanation. To strengthen the response, explain the long-term benefits of saving—such as financial security or paying for education—and develop each example so it directly supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The contrast between adults’ and minors’ attitudes gives the discussion some organisation, and signposts such as “For example,” “In contrast” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from workplace effort to raises and then to personal goals without clearly connecting these points. The contrast paragraph also shifts from criticism of young people to a positive example without fully explaining the relationship. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim; this would make the progression more consistent and reduce reliance on basic signposting.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt vocabulary related to the topic, including “save funds,” “public confrontation,” “part-times” and “admitted into the top college.” Some choices show an effort to express ideas beyond basic language, but several are inaccurate or unnatural and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “public confrontation” does not fit the likely meaning of workplace pressure, and “many optionality” is not a natural expression. Spelling errors such as “persue,” “farway,” “fullfilled” and “sallery” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. A more controlled set of phrases such as “financial security,” “pursue personal goals” and “pay for higher education” would communicate your ideas more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including a reason clause with “because” and a contrast introduced by “But.” However, the longer sentences are often difficult to control, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “a person have some sort of goals,” “the are ver immature,” and “they try to stack funds … to reach their dream state,” where agreement, sentence construction or clause relationships are faulty. The sentence beginning “Individuals try their hardest” also becomes overloaded and is hard to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when their relationship is clear. Check subject–verb agreement, articles and pronouns when editing.
