Student answer (Band 6.0)
Saving money for the future should be one of the top priority for everyone, specially in the modern era where unpredictable stuff is happening. I believe saving money is equally important for young people as it is for adults specially in a country the United State, where children only lives with their parents until they are 18.
Money saving should be a top priority, specifically for lower and middle class families. In such families every member should contribute in saving even if the youngsters are saving small bills, it will help them one day. Parents should teach their children the benifits of saving money in long term, for instance a individuals who are saving money for a long period of time ffor a specific goal, it can be anything buying a car, purchasing their own house, or moving to another city or country, with each passing day and every single they are collecting they are getting closer to fulfill their dream.
Young people have curiosity for purchasing new toys or something they saw on the internet, but the feeling of that small purchase is notthe same forever. However, if they have collected that money they could have bought something which can be more precious for them. Another reason for saving money is that it can be used in some serious circumstances, such as for a sudden medical emergency, this is the time when people thank themselves for saving those small bills.
In conclusion, I would say that you should not compromise with long term happiness for a shorter one. Saving money is not an option nowadays, because no one can predict what life holds next for you.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you agree that saving matters for young people as well as adults, and the conclusion reinforces this view. You give relevant reasons, including saving towards major goals and having funds for a medical emergency, with examples such as buying a car or moving. This addresses the task and provides a sound basis for your argument. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim about children in the United States living with parents only until 18 is broad and is not clearly connected to why saving is important. Develop the consequences of saving for young people more specifically, and explain how each example supports your position, to make the response more consistently extended.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Ideas generally progress from long-term goals to spending choices and emergency needs. Linking expressions such as “for instance,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help signal these relationships. At times, though, connections within sentences are difficult to follow, particularly the long example beginning “for instance a individuals who are saving money…” and the shift from the United States claim to the general argument. Some references, such as “they” and “that money,” could be made more precise. Break up the lengthy example and use clearer links between claims and explanations to make cohesion more flexible and less dependent on signposting phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to discuss saving, goals, spending, and emergencies, including phrases such as “long term,” “medical emergency,” and “compromise with long term happiness.” These choices make your main ideas understandable. However, the range is uneven, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or informal, such as “unpredictable stuff,” “small bills,” and “the feeling of that small purchase.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “benifits” and “specially,” also reduce precision. Aim for more natural topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully; for example, describe financial uncertainty directly and use precise terms for savings and purchases. This would help you express familiar ideas with greater flexibility and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea in “if they have collected that money they could have bought something” and a sentence explaining how savings can support a goal. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors remain and occasionally make relationships unclear. Examples include “one of the top priority,” “children only lives,” and “a individuals,” which show problems with number agreement and articles. The long sentence beginning “for instance a individuals…” also contains an incomplete or unclear construction, while “every single they are collecting” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise accurate agreement, articles, and complete clause construction, and divide long sentences where needed. More reliable control of these forms would strengthen your range.
