Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's modern era, it is believed that everyone should save money for their use in the future. Some people believe that it is essential that people should spend money for their basic needs. While other school of thougth believe that saving money shoul be priortized. I partially agree with this statement and this essay will back my opinion.
It is widely believe that general public inculding young people should save their money and this can benefits them in future. First of all, saving money can help them in emergencies. It can help them to be more secured in their future. For instance, by doing so, they would not take loans and can easily pay their college fee. In case of emergency, they can easily pay off their hospital bills. People can easily buy a car or rent a home.
On the flip side, there are some people argue that money should be used for necessary items. These items can be our bills, grocery, fueling the car. They believe that paying the bills are more important in today's economy than saving them. For instance, if people also save the money and d not use it for their vital needs, then there is no point of saving the money. To say more, people should spend money on their favourite items such a sclothes, shoes and other amenities.
To sum up, it is of course vital to save money for their future in case of any emergency, spending money on our favourite things should also be necessary.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a relevant, partly balanced response and state your position as “I partially agree.” The points about emergencies, college fees and hospital bills support the value of saving, while the discussion of bills and essential purchases recognises why people need to spend. However, the position is not fully explained: the conclusion says both saving and spending on favourite things are necessary without clarifying how this supports your partial agreement or which should take priority. Some examples, such as buying a car or renting a home, are listed rather than developed, and the opposing view could be explained more precisely. To strengthen the response, explain the conditions under which saving should take priority and extend each main reason with a clear explanation or specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for saving and spending, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “First of all,” “On the flip side,” and “To sum up” help readers follow the broad progression. However, some connections are mechanical, and the ideas within paragraphs sometimes read as a list—for example, the saving paragraph moves from emergencies to college fees, hospital bills, cars and housing without showing how these examples relate or which are most important. The reference in “saving them” is also unclear, as it could refer to money or necessary items. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main point; make pronoun references precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “emergencies,” “hospital bills,” “vital needs” and “amenities.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “On the flip side.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors reduce precision: “more secured” is not a natural way to describe financial security, “school of thougth” is misspelled, and “fueling the car” is awkward in this list. Repetition of “money,” “save” and “spend” also makes the expression less flexible. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for financial planning and essential expenditure, and check spelling and collocations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure beginning “if people also save the money” and a sentence explaining that saving can help in emergencies. Meaning is generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical control occur across the response. For example, “While other school of thougth believe” is an incomplete contrast clause, and “It is widely believe” has an incorrect verb form. There are also agreement and article problems in “paying the bills are more important” and “a car or rent a home.” Practise forming complete sentences when using “while,” and check subject–verb agreement, verb forms and articles. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
