Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and give relevant reasons, including financial support in old age and having money available in an emergency. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: the reasons are briefly asserted rather than explained, and the second body paragraph repeats the idea of living without working instead of adding a distinct argument. The example about facing an emergency is relevant but remains general, with no specific illustration or explanation of how saving helps. The response also contains 148 words, which is 102 words below the required minimum. To develop the answer, explain more fully why saving matters at different life stages and add a specific example, while maintaining your position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response with an introduction and paragraphs beginning “On one hand” and “On the other hand.” The main ideas—saving for old age and emergencies—are identifiable. However, the ideas are not arranged coherently overall: the second body paragraph is unfinished and repeats the claim that people can live without working, while the first paragraph moves between old age, emergencies, and borrowing without clear progression. Some linking is inaccurate or mechanical, as in “On one hand” followed by “So,” and “Moreover, and.” Use one clear topic sentence per paragraph, connect each explanation directly to its main point, and complete the final paragraph with a distinct supporting idea and a conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is basic but sufficient to communicate the central topic, using relevant terms such as “save money,” “future,” “old,” and “emergency.” There is some repetition, particularly of “money” and “saved,” and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or informal, including “youngsters,” “alot,” “easly,” and “barrow.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the overall meaning is generally recoverable. Aim to use a wider range of precise financial vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. For example, you could describe savings as a “financial safety net” and explain that they help people “cover unexpected expenses” or “support themselves in retirement.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea: “if they face some emergence and no one help him so they can used the money.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include the incomplete sentence “if young generation starts saving money,” the agreement and pronoun problems in “a they gets old,” and the verb-form errors in “no one help him” and “they can used.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, especially where a full stop separates “if young generation starts saving money” from “So its very important.” Practise complete sentences and check subject–verb agreement, pronouns, and verb forms.
