Student answer (Band 6.0)
Saving money is an important issue for every people. It works as a wealth for future. Like every other people I also think that we need to save money for our future and it's very essential for young people.
People works for earning money and the money helps them to survive. Money is the factor which enables us to access in our needed or wanted products like food, cloths, accomodation, education, health etc. Without money we can't get any type of facilities from society. When you have money, you can find many people around you. Otherwise you won't find anyone.
People realize the value of money when they lose it or can't earn it. We, human being, behave very odd when we have enough money. There is a proverb about human behaviour that we don't value anything untill we lost it. So when we have enough money, we try to spend it as much as possible, but we don't think about our future. We only focus on our daily needs but we don't think about our emergency situation when we will need money most.
For example, I am such a person who spend her 80% of salary within 1st week of the month. Then I worry for my rest of the weeks in a month. So after completing one year of my job, I can't find any savings. That time I realize about the importance of saving money. Youth like me actually want to flow with the wave. They think that the time is for spending money. Though life is short to fulfill the need, we have some responsibilities on us for whom we need to save money.
In conclusion, I know it won't be possible for every person to save money but we should try to save money in a bank account or piggy bank which will be worked as a companion of danger.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you agree that saving is important, including for young people, and you maintain this view from the introduction to the conclusion. The personal example of spending most of your salary early in the month gives the argument relevant support, and you explain how savings can help in emergencies. This meets the task well, with some elements developed more fully than others. However, parts of the discussion—such as the claim that people value money only after losing it and the responsibilities that make young people save—are asserted rather than explained or illustrated. To strengthen the response further, develop these points with a specific consequence or example, and clarify why saving matters for young people in particular, beyond your own experience.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, paragraphs explaining the value of money and the need to save, a personal example, and a conclusion. The progression from general points to your own experience is generally easy to follow. Some links, however, are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Otherwise you won't find anyone” does not clearly connect to the point about access to necessities, and “So” and “Though” do not always show the precise relationship between ideas. The paragraph beginning “People realize the value of money” combines a proverb, spending habits, and emergency needs without clearly separating the steps in the argument. Use clearer topic sentences and more precise referencing to make the connections between claims and examples smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “salary,” “emergency situation,” “savings,” and “responsibilities.” The personal example also helps make the discussion concrete. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less natural: “It works as a wealth,” “access in our needed or wanted products,” and “flow with the wave.” There are also spelling errors such as “accomodation” and “untill.” Aim to learn common collocations for money and saving, and choose precise expressions rather than translating phrases literally. This will make your argument clearer and more fluent without requiring unusually advanced vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “when,” “but,” and “though,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “People works” should use a plural verb, while “a person who spend” needs agreement between the relative clause and its subject. In “I can't find any savings,” the tense does not fit the past experience being described. The final sentence, “which will be worked as a companion,” also has an unclear passive construction. Review agreement and tense consistency, and check that relative clauses and passive forms express the intended meaning. More accurate control of these patterns would improve readability.
