Student answer (Band 5.5)

In todays world population is increasing day by day while resources are limited. This create demand and supply difference which means resouces cost remain high and you need more mony to by it so saving can help you in overcomming this problem.

As we know future is unpredicted and we do not know what will happen in the nextday. If we consider the educational department their dues increase every year and if any student have intres in studies he should have some saving to persu the studies.Somewhere studies are free but you should bear living cost . For this saving will useful. After completing the education he will be able to work at high salary that take out him from poverty or middle class. Then it depends on him either to continue his saving practice or not.

Saving also help in health issues. Many people registerd them self in insurance and paid installment from their saving. When they require any treatment that saving pay off. While those who are hort of saving face problems in bearing medical expenses. Saving is useful in developing countries where there is no job security and less opportunities. At the time of unemployment it helps alot in bearing the routine expenses. It also help in renovation of house, renovation require more mony so one can not complete the process without saving.

Apart from that , business men are exceptional from this because they have always enough money to do any thing so they do not bother and not take intrest in saving. Some mind also available that think we should enjoy the current moment and left the thinking of saving.

Overall, saving has more importance in educated community and one should away from unusual expenses

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is broadly clear: you support saving, especially to meet future costs. You address several relevant reasons, including education, medical treatment, unemployment and home renovation, and the education example explains how savings can help someone continue studying. However, the response does not fully explore the statement’s emphasis on everyone, including young people. The claim that businesspeople are exceptions because they “have always enough money” is not convincingly supported and sits uneasily with your overall argument. The final point about enjoying the present is also introduced but not answered. Develop these contrasting views and explain more precisely why saving matters to young people, while acknowledging reasonable limits. This would make the response more complete and its ideas better supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, paragraphs on education and other practical benefits, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the main argument. Within paragraphs, however, ideas sometimes move abruptly—for example, the discussion shifts from education and future employment to poverty without clearly explaining the link. Connectors such as “Apart from that” and “Overall” provide basic signposting, but some transitions are mechanical, and the contrast introduced by “While” is not developed into a clear comparison. References such as “this problem” and “that saving” can also be unclear. Use topic sentences and more precise linking phrases to show how each example supports your position, and ensure the conclusion follows directly from the points discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “resources,” “unemployment,” “medical expenses,” “insurance” and “poverty,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited in places, and repeated use of “saving” and “money” makes the argument less precise. Several spelling errors, such as “resouces,” “mony” and “intrest,” are noticeable, while some word combinations are unnatural, including “future is unpredicted” and “saving pay off.” These issues can make the reader pause, even when the intended meaning is recoverable. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, and choose more specific terms—for example, distinguish between personal savings, savings habits and financial security.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional and contrastive structures such as “When they require any treatment…” and “While those who are short of saving…”. This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors occur across sentence patterns and sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. For example, “This create demand” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “if any student have intres… he should have” contains agreement errors. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “future is unpredicted” and the run-together sentence after “studies.” Practise checking agreement, articles and punctuation, and revise complex sentences to ensure each clause is complete and clearly connected.
