Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some people argue that it is crucial for all, including youngsters to develop the habit of saving money for upcoming time. I firmly agree with the statement because people need money during emergencies, also having money creates a sense of economic security for retirement plans.
People spent money mostly for necessities, sometimes for the luxury too. Rather than spending all, some individuals tend to create fixed diposits in the bank which helps them to get a percentage of interest each year. This saved money help people in their toughest times, including health complications or losing a job. For instance, the treatment of cancer is quite expensive and people might be diagnosed with the disease any time. If the family have maintained a saving account, it is easier for them to pay for medicines and hospital bills. Parents should encourage their children to start saving from their childhood weven if the amount is too less, it might help them developing a lifesaving skill.
People cannot work for lifetime, body needs rest and mind asks for refreshment when people turn older. If a person started saving from a young age might have an amount secured money to utilize after retirement. But there are evidences of people working after their eighties and nineties for breadearning for the family. However, a person who saved money and properties for retirements can be able to fulfill their retirement plans such as travelling to foreign countries, bear own medicine expenses etcetra.
In conclusion, money can be used in emergencies, it also work as an economic security too for the individuals. Youngsters needs to be encouraged to attain this skill which they might find useful in the time of needs.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you firmly agree, and the conclusion restates that saving helps with emergencies and financial security. The two main reasons—unexpected medical costs or job loss, and preparing for retirement—are relevant and supported with examples, such as cancer treatment and later-life travel. This gives the response a developed, task-focused argument. Some claims, however, are broad rather than carefully qualified, and the retirement point about people working into their eighties is not fully connected to why saving is important for everyone. Develop that link explicitly and explain more precisely how young people can benefit from starting early.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on emergencies and retirement, and a conclusion. The progression from immediate financial needs to later-life security is logical, and signposts such as “For instance,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. This is coherent, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “However” introduces a contrast with people working at an advanced age, but the relationship to the preceding point could be made more explicit. The opening sentence of the second body paragraph also shifts abruptly to ageing. Use clearer links between each example and its main claim, and vary transitions so that the argument flows more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “fixed deposits,” “percentage of interest,” “economic security,” “retirement plans,” and “hospital bills.” These choices make the financial focus clear, and some less common expressions show an effort to be precise. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “upcoming time,” “an amount secured money,” “breadearning,” and “bear own medicine expenses.” There are also spelling errors, including “diposits” and “etcetra.” These do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Prefer established phrases such as “future,” “a secure amount of money,” “earn a living,” and “cover medical expenses,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If the family have maintained a saving account” and clauses explaining why people need savings. Meaning is generally understandable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction are persistent enough to limit accuracy. Examples include “People spent money” where the general present is needed, “This saved money help,” “If a person started saving … might have,” and “Youngsters needs.” Some sentences also join ideas awkwardly, as in “people need money during emergencies, also having money creates…” Use consistent present-tense forms for general claims, check subject–verb agreement, and practise forming complete conditional sentences. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentence attempts clearer.
