Student answer (Band 5.0)

Is saving money important for everyone including young people for their future. I agree with this statement as future expences may become expencive aspessial if the child wants to study abored.

On the one hand, save money for their future is important. This is because, if the student wants to study abored there will have the money too offored the accommodation, univercit fees and their day to day expencies. Furthermore, incase of an emengency young people and the eledery will have the money they saved with them. As a result, there won't havr to take a bank loan nor will have to bory money from their friends and family members. Moreover, if the young people want's to purcheas something expencive in the future then they the young people will have the money with then that they saved.

On the other hand, ave money for their future is not important. This is because, if the person will save the money then they might not be able to purches the item they like so they will be looking at the price of it. Saving money might be difficult espessialy if the person has kids. This is because, the parent will have to spend on the childs education and their day to day expences.

In conclution, I agree with this statement that I agree with this statement is important as it will help then for their further studyes and incare of an emengency they will have the money with them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear in the opening and conclusion: you agree that saving is important, and you give relevant reasons such as funding overseas study, handling emergencies, and buying expensive items. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these points are mostly listed rather than explained with specific examples or fuller reasoning. The opposing paragraph raises a possible drawback—saving may limit purchases and be difficult for parents—but it is not connected clearly to your overall position. The conclusion also repeats the same claim without drawing the discussion together. The response is three words below the required minimum, so ensure future answers meet the 250-word requirement while developing each main idea more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader identify the broad stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several points are added without clear explanation of how they relate. For example, the emergency point shifts from young people to “the elderly,” while the second body paragraph introduces parents and children without linking this contrast back to the main position. Connectors such as “Furthermore,” “As a result,” and “Moreover” are used mechanically, and the conclusion repeats the opening. Use clearer topic sentences and develop each paragraph around one connected line of reasoning.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “accommodation,” “university fees,” “emergency,” and “bank loan,” so the reader can understand the main subject. However, the range is limited and several words are repeated, particularly “money,” “future,” and “young people.” Frequent spelling errors—such as “expencive,” “abored,” and “emengency”—make the writing less clear and reduce the accuracy of your vocabulary. Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, including “have the money too offored” and “looking at the price of it.” Build a reliable set of phrases for discussing saving, costs, and financial security, and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the student wants to study abroad” and a result clause beginning “As a result.” This shows an effort to explain causes and consequences. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction and verb forms, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “save money for their future is important” needs a gerund subject, while “there will have the money” and “they the young people will have” have faulty structures. The conclusion also contains an incomplete, repetitive construction: “I agree with this statement that I agree…” Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and build longer sentences from a clear main clause.
