Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent years, people are no more interested in collecting money for future due to several reasons. The major cause behind the phenomena of why its not important to collect money for future by everyone and young people are their financial condition in this era. In most of the areas around the globe, living costs already crossed the limits of what peoples earns today. Low wages and higher household cause problem for them to think about saving for future. The reason why its not important for anyone because their first pariority is to survive only.

From my perspective, it is not important for everyone, including young people, to save money for their future. People are struggling to cover living expenses due to low wages and high living cost. All of this happened because of less work opportunities and high prices of necessary items such as a food. Subsequently, if they try to save from it, their families will be suffer in present thats why its more significant to spend now without thnking about the future.

In addition, nowadays their are a lot of household expense thats why people should spent money rather than saving it for future. Due to a lot of development globally living cost increases in every culture like some extra expenses included in our life style, which were not crucial before. For instance, mobile phones, internet bill, educational cost unnecessary mekup items for family and many other things. Based on these expnses if persons with low wages and highcost living can not save anything so its better for them to atleast spent life with relaxation instead on thinking about future.

Overall, I strongly believe that it is not essential to save money for future because spending it today is more important.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that saving is not essential, and you offer relevant reasons: low wages, high living costs and household expenses. The examples of food, internet bills and education help connect the argument to everyday life. However, the response only partially develops the task. Much of the discussion repeats that people need to spend money now, while the claim that saving is “not important for everyone” is not qualified or supported with a specific example. The prompt includes young people, but their circumstances are not discussed separately. To strengthen the response, explain how these pressures affect different groups and acknowledge a counterpoint, such as the value of savings for emergencies or future goals, before explaining why you still disagree.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an opening paragraph, two body paragraphs and a concluding statement. Linking expressions such as “In addition,” “For instance” and “Overall” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression is limited because the same point—that living costs make saving difficult—is repeated across the introduction and both body paragraphs. Some connections are unclear, particularly “Based on these expenses if persons with low wages and highcost living can not save anything,” which makes the relationship between the example and conclusion difficult to follow. Improve cohesion by giving each paragraph a distinct purpose, using clearer references, and arranging each reason in a sequence of claim, explanation and example rather than relying mainly on repeated linking phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “living costs,” “low wages,” “household expenses” and “work opportunities,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific examples, such as “educational cost” and “necessary items.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. For example, “collecting money” is less suitable than “saving money,” and “highcost living” is not a natural expression. Spelling errors such as “pariority,” “expnses” and “thnking” also reduce accuracy and can slow the reader. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “People are struggling to cover living expenses due to low wages and high living cost.” This shows an effort to explain relationships between ideas. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty; errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “their families will be suffer,” “their are a lot of household expense,” and “people should spent money.” There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “such as a food” and the long sentence beginning “Due to a lot of development globally.” Practise accurate verb patterns and agreement, and divide long sentences into shorter, complete units.
