Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often believed that it is crucial for everyone including young people, to save money for their future.I strongly agree with this statement because you cannot buy anything without money.
Saving money for the future is mandatory not only for young people but also for everyone and it has various reasons.Firstly, if someone wants to buy something,he must have some amount of money to purchase that particular thing. Furthermore, a student must have money to enroll in the shcool , college or even university and it is impossible without paying the fee. Secondly, if a person wants to save money to purchase the land for their family, he must save money for this purpose. Additionally, many students travel abroad for higher education , they have to save money to travel abroad.
Many families prefer to travel to see the beautiful areas of the county and for that purpose ,they must have to save money if they have the desire to travel. Moreover, some people spend alot of money on different things in the form of shopping, travelling and even food, they should not utilize much money on these things and instead of this , they must save the money so that, they can use them for future use. Poeple can purchase different things according to their wills and this can possible only if they save some amount of money in advance.
In conclusion, I agree with this statment becasue it is so essential for everyone including young people to save money for their future use and they can easily utilize their money according to their needs and without money it is not possible at all.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that everyone, including young people, should save, and you give relevant reasons such as paying for education, buying land, and travelling. However, the support is often general or repetitive. For example, the points about purchasing things and saving for travel are asserted rather than explained with a specific example or a fuller account of why saving matters for future security. The discussion also shifts between young people and people in general without exploring the particular challenges or benefits for younger savers. To strengthen the response, develop fewer reasons in more depth and connect each one directly to the claim that saving is important for the future. The response meets the stated length requirement; 22 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” make the basic structure visible. However, progression within the body paragraphs is limited: several examples are placed one after another without showing how they relate or which are most important. “Moreover” and “Additionally” are used repeatedly to add points, so the linking can feel mechanical rather than guiding a developed argument. Some references are also unclear, as in “they can use them for future use,” where the pronouns do not clearly identify what is being used. Group related examples, explain the connection between sentences, and use referencing and transitions more precisely to create a clearer line of argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate basic ideas about saving, education, shopping and travel, including phrases such as “higher education” and “purchase the land.” However, the range is limited and several words or expressions are repeated, especially “money,” “save,” and “future.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “beautiful areas of the county,” “according to their wills,” and “utilize much money.” Spelling errors, including “shcool,” “Poeple,” “statment,” and “becasue,” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise financial vocabulary and natural collocations, while checking spelling carefully. For instance, you could distinguish between saving for “education costs,” “emergencies,” or “long-term goals” rather than repeatedly referring to money in general.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using clauses introduced by “if” and connectors such as “because” and “so that.” This allows you to express reasons, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Examples include “they must have to save money,” “this can possible only if,” and “they can use them,” which show problems with verb forms and agreement. There are also recurring punctuation and spacing problems, such as missing spaces after full stops and commas, and inconsistent comma use. Practise building accurate complex sentences with one clear main clause and a correctly formed subordinate clause, and proofread for agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries.
