Student answer (Band 6.5)
Money plays an important role in every expect of our life. It is important to save money for everyone regardless of age for future, because it provides sense of protection, reduces the stress, and improve the money management skill. I strongly agree with this statement.
Firstly, money is something with we can buy everything we need. It provides us the sense of protection. In addition, when we have enough saving, we can cope up with every situation. For instance, if a person had sudden health issue which requires immediate action such as surgery. So he can deal with it without stressing about the money, because he had enough savings in his bank account.
Secondly, when a young person do savings while having all basic neccesities of life. He can learn the money management skill. And with this, he can buy a car or a house for his convinince. This will save him from stress of spending a large amount of his monthly earning on rented house, or a rented car. Furthermore, he can also do some startups to boost his earning, or can invest in stocks as a long term investment.
Thirdly, with savings people can also secure their future. For example, after retirement when mostly people are isolated in homes, and unable to do jobs because of health issues. They can live happily with money they have saved earlier. Furthermore, they can go on vacations in other countries to have some fun. This will help them in changing their environment and they will feel less isolated.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that, it is important to save money for better future, to cope up with uncertain events, and availing good opportunities in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I strongly agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the importance of saving for people of different ages through relevant reasons: financial protection, learning to manage money, and security after retirement. The health-emergency example helps explain how savings can reduce stress, while the retirement paragraph adds a distinct future-focused point. These ideas are generally extended and supported, which fits the response’s clear coverage of the task. Some claims, however, are broad or not fully explained: for example, the link between savings and buying a car or house, and the suggestion that savings prevent spending on rented accommodation, need more precise reasoning. Develop these connections and make examples more realistic to strengthen the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, three body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Thirdly” make the progression easy to follow, and examples are placed alongside the points they support. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent overall arrangement and shows some of the clearer progression expected at the next level. However, the repeated numbered transitions make the organisation somewhat mechanical, and some links between sentences are abrupt. For instance, the move from learning money management to buying a car or house would benefit from an explicit explanation. Avoid sentence fragments such as “So he can deal with it…” and connect ideas with clearer cause-and-effect relationships and more varied referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “financial protection,” “money management,” “retirement,” “invest in stocks,” and “long term investment.” These choices make the main ideas clear, and attempts to use more specific language are evident. At times, however, word choice and collocation are inaccurate or imprecise: “every expect of our life,” “cope up with,” “do savings,” and “boost their earning” do not sound natural in this context. There are also spelling errors such as “neccesities” and “convinince.” These generally do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision and control. Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships for saving and finance, and proofread spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional and relative clauses, as in “if a person had sudden health issue which requires immediate action.” The essay is generally understandable, but some errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries remain. Examples include “it provides sense of protection,” “reduces the stress, and improve,” and “a young person do savings.” The sentence beginning “For instance, if a person…” is left as a fragment when followed by “So he can deal with it,” and the retirement sentence beginning “For example, after retirement…” is also incomplete. These issues show that complex structures are not yet consistently controlled. Practise forming complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent tense.
