Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear: “I strongly agree,” and you give two relevant reasons—savings can support future plans and provide security in emergencies. The examples about your father’s business and your uncle’s loss help connect these points to real situations. However, the response only partially develops the task: the first example includes several claims, such as becoming famous worldwide and buying luxury homes, without explaining how saving led to these outcomes, while the emergency point is brief. The response is also 67 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain your reasons and examples. Develop each main idea with clearer reasoning and a more specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, followed by separate paragraphs on future plans and emergencies. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “Another benefit” helps readers follow the main points. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “saving wealth is crucial … because it help in future to establish new business” is followed by a list of purchases without showing how each relates to the main claim. The emergency paragraph also moves quickly from death and accidents to job loss and business losses. Use fewer list-like transitions and make the relationship between each example and its paragraph’s main idea explicit. Clearer referencing would also help readers identify whose savings and difficulties you mean.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “saving,” “business,” “emergency,” “job,” and “loss,” and phrases such as “putting money aside” communicate the central idea. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “commercial activities” and “accumulating savings.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making meaning less clear: “surviving life,” “dreamy cars,” and “everything snatched by people” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Repetition of “help,” “saving,” and “business” also restricts flexibility. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check whether verbs and nouns commonly occur together before using less familiar expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate a clear overall position and attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and examples introduced by “For instance.” However, the range is limited, and errors recur in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. Examples include “It is argue” and “saving help,” where the verb forms do not agree with the subject, and “it help in to buy,” which has an incorrect verb pattern. Capitalisation and punctuation also need attention, as in “it help” after a full stop and the comma in “for their future, is essential.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build longer sentences from a clear main clause plus one correctly formed supporting clause.
