Student answer (Band 5.5)

These days, it is a commonly seen that argument: it is crucial for all individuals, include younger people, to save money for their future. I hold the view that it is very important for people of all ages. In this essay, I will elaborate why money saving is crucial, and peresnt evidence to support my perspective.

To begen with, it is one of the aspects that individuals often talk about is bad time. In the future we can face financial issues like, we can loss job. Moreover, helth problem can suddenly appear in life. For instance, in 2019 we faced coved 19, at that time those individuals survived better who had many for liveing a happy life because every business was closed at that time, so we should always be ready for financial cricess.

Another signeficant facter is a old age, we must save money for our last years in which we can not work because it is possible that children will not take responsibility. Furthermore, to fulfil desires our desires, we should save money. For instance, a lot of individuals save money to buy their homes or car. That is why many people save money life.

From my perspective, we should save money in all life, but in young age we can do it better because in young age we have less expencess and more earning, so we should try to save money in young age.

To sum up, saving money is important for all individuals due to different factors like, disasters and financial cricess. We should try to save money for future life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that saving matters for people of all ages, and you return to this view in the conclusion. The response gives relevant reasons, including unexpected financial hardship, illness, retirement, and major purchases such as a home or car. The COVID-19 example also helps illustrate why savings can provide security. However, some points are less fully explained than others. The paragraph about old age introduces children’s possible lack of support and personal desires, but does not clearly show how saving addresses each concern. Develop one or two examples further and explain their consequences. A more precise explanation of why young people can save effectively would also strengthen the argument and make the response more fully developed overall.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, a paragraph giving your personal view, and a conclusion. Ideas are generally grouped by topic, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “To sum up” help readers follow the main points. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “To begen with, it is one of the aspects that individuals often talk about is bad time” does not establish the paragraph’s main idea clearly, and “That is why many people save money life” does not connect logically to the preceding example. The paragraph about young people also repeats the central position rather than extending the previous reasoning. Use clearer topic sentences and make each sentence’s relationship to the next explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial issues,” “old age,” “responsibility,” and “desires,” so the main subject is usually understandable. However, the range and control are limited, and noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “peresnt,” “began,” “helth,” “coved 19,” “cricess,” and “expencess.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “many for liveing a happy life” and “save money life.” Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for emergencies, retirement, and long-term goals would help you explain your ideas without relying on repeated general terms such as “money” and “save.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “who,” and “that,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is uneven, and some sentence structures are faulty. For example, “it is one of the aspects that individuals often talk about is bad time” contains an unclear clause structure, while “we can loss job” has an incorrect verb form and missing article. There are also errors in agreement and sentence construction, as in “a old age” and “in young age we have less expencess and more earning.” Practise building accurate sentences around one main idea, checking articles, verb forms, and singular/plural agreement. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your reasoning easier to understand.
