Student answer (Band 5.0)

Although saving money is beneficial for future but it doesn't means that people are only save their money for their future. People should made strategies to save money and they had strategies to spend money in present days. I partially disagree that every individual including young once are saving their money for future concerns because spending more money in present made them more happier and relaxed as compared to save money for their future. when they save money for their future concerns their present will be disturbed.

The main reason I hold this view is that everyone worked hard to earn money and they wanted to spend this money to fulfill their dreams and desires, but when they save their money instead of spending it on their dreams they became frustrated. The reason of frustration is that they don't spend money in which they want to do. They are easily demotivated. So, everybody spend their money in present days which made them relaxed.

Furthermore, it is beneficial when people saved their money for their future, when they made strategies for both present and future. It is very important how people are used their money, if they save money and at the same time they fulfill their desires as well. It motivated them for jobs and future.

In conclusion, I largely agree with that they don't need to save money specially young once because when they spend money on them are motivated. So, saving money is not so much beneficial. It is stressful and demotivation habits for specially young once.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a recognisable, though inconsistent, position: the opening says you “partially disagree,” while the conclusion says you “largely agree” that young people need not save. Your reasons—that spending can fulfil personal goals and that saving may cause frustration—are relevant, but they are asserted rather than supported with a specific example or fuller explanation. The paragraph beginning “Furthermore” also introduces a more balanced view, saying people should plan for both present and future, without clarifying how this fits your overall stance. As a result, the response addresses the topic only partially and the central argument remains unclear. State one consistent degree of agreement and develop each reason with a concrete example and a clear link to your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic essay shape, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “The main reason” and “Furthermore” help identify the stages. However, the overall progression is limited: the first body paragraph argues for present spending, while the next supports saving alongside spending, and the conclusion returns to rejecting saving without resolving that contrast. Several ideas are repeated, particularly that spending makes people relaxed or motivated, rather than being advanced in a clear sequence. Some links are also difficult to follow, as in “when they save money for their future concerns their present will be disturbed.” Organise the body around two distinct reasons and use each paragraph to explain and support one point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general discussion, including “save money,” “future,” “strategies,” “dreams and desires,” and “frustrated.” There are also attempts to express more abstract ideas, such as “demotivated” and “future concerns.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or unnatural, including “spend money in present days,” “future concerns,” and “demotivation habits.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less precise, although the main topic remains understandable. Aim for more natural collocations and vary repeated words: for example, use “current expenses” or “enjoy the present” instead of repeatedly referring to spending money, and “financial security” for the benefits of saving.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “although,” “because” and “when,” so there is some variety in structure. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the argument difficult to read. Examples include “it doesn't means,” “people are only save,” “everyone worked hard,” and “when they save money … their present will be disturbed”; these show problems with verb forms, tense consistency and clause construction. There are also agreement and article errors, as in “spending more money … made them more happier” and “It is very important how people are used their money.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly formed subordinate clause before adding more complexity.
