Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: “I completely agree,” and the conclusion restates that saving is important. You give two relevant reasons—having a financial buffer during emergencies and supporting oneself after retirement—and the examples of job loss and medical costs help explain the first point. This addresses the task well. However, the ideas are not equally developed: the retirement paragraph mainly repeats that savings are beneficial, without explaining how much or what kinds of saving could provide security. The example about Indian employers transferring money to staff accounts is also difficult to understand and does not clearly demonstrate the point. To strengthen the response further, explain this example accurately and extend each reason with a clearer, more specific illustration.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. However, linking is sometimes mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Therefore” and “To explain,” and some connections between sentences are unclear. For example, the employer example follows the discussion of job loss but its relevance is not made explicit, so the reader has to infer the link. The conclusion also repeats the introduction and body points rather than drawing them together. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make references between claims and examples explicit to improve the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “emergency situation,” “job loss,” “retired life,” and “financial burden,” so the main ideas can be understood. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, sometimes making the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “enssential,” “predomient,” “freez,” and “regian”; the phrase “save money for future life” is also unnatural. Some expressions are repeated, especially “save money” and “help.” Build accuracy with common topic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would make your argument clearer without requiring unusually advanced vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if people do limited amount of saving … this saving money might help them.” This shows an effort to explain cause and effect, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “if youngsters saves” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “older people don not have to dependent” has problems with the auxiliary and verb form. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “in an low for employers” and the fragment beginning “Because not all of the jobs provide pension.” Practise forming accurate conditional sentences and check agreement, articles, and complete sentence structure during revision.
