Student answer (Band 6.0)

Money is essential to survive this modern era. Humans have to be conscious regarding money. As a result, all ages of people including younger generation should save money for our future. I agree with this statement.

Nowdays people want to lead a good and a comfortable life. Accordingly, humans need a handsome amount of money to lead a desired life and fullfill their demands. However, today's world is a competitive place. People compete with each others for jobs, education, accomodation, transportation and so on. Besides, people have to save a good amount of money for health insurance. For these kinds of daily necessities, we have to save money for our next generation.

Saving money is essential for all ages of people especially for younger generation. Children can learn a topic more easily than older ones. That's why educational institutions such as schools, colleges, universities should introduce activities like conference, workshop to teach and encourage the young people to save money. If people know the importance of saving assets and can apply this method in their young age, then it will be more beneficial for them.

In my point of view, people should be more aware of spending money. Children should be taught to spend money on important sectors and should not spend on unnecessary things.

I have been very particular and conscious regarding money from my childhood. It helps me to save money for essential matters.

Overall, money and property is important to lead a good life. Besides, it it also very important to spend money on necessary things rather than unimportant things. Children should be more particular about it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: “I agree with this statement,” and the response stays focused on the value of saving. You give relevant reasons, including future expenses, health insurance, and teaching children to manage money, and your personal experience adds a suitable example. However, the discussion does not fully explain why saving is important for everyone, and the point about saving “for our next generation” is not clearly connected to the needs of the people saving. The education paragraph also focuses more on how young people could be taught than on the benefits or practical challenges of saving. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or example, and address the statement’s emphasis on all people as well as young people.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to reasons, advice for young people, personal experience, and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally have a clear focus, and linking expressions such as “However,” “Besides,” and “Overall” help signal relationships between ideas. At times, though, connections are mechanical or unclear: “For these kinds of daily necessities, we have to save money for our next generation” does not clearly follow from the preceding examples. The final paragraph also repeats the ideas of spending carefully and living well rather than drawing the argument together. Use clearer links between claims and explanations, and make the conclusion briefly restate the main reasons supporting your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “competitive,” “health insurance,” “educational institutions,” and “essential matters,” so the topic is generally communicated clearly. There are also attempts at more formal expressions, such as “in my point of view.” However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or imprecise, including “a handsome amount of money,” “compete with each others,” and “save a good amount of money for health insurance.” Spelling errors such as “Nowdays,” “fullfill,” and “accomodation” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations such as “a substantial amount,” “compete with one another,” and “set aside money for healthcare costs,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple statements and some longer structures, including conditional forms such as “If people know the importance … then it will be more beneficial for them.” Most sentences remain understandable, and the main message is not obscured. Some grammatical errors persist, however. For example, “all ages of people” has an awkward determiner structure, “Children can learn a topic more easily than older ones” has an unclear comparison, and “money and property is important” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence beginning “Besides, it it also” contains a repeated word, while “should not spend on unnecessary things” is missing a clear object. Practise accurate comparisons, agreement, and pronoun reference, and proofread for repeated or omitted words.
