The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Young people are attending dance classes in a town in Australia by the maximum age of 16. The location of the dance classes includes 4 main areas; Community halls, private studios, school halls and college based studios. There are three main dance classes named as Ballet, Tap and Modern. Each class consist of minimum 100 students. The ballet dance class consist of 600 of students with the age group of under 11 years and around 300 students of 11-16 age group. However, in Tap dance class around [redacted phone] students are aged under 11 and around 420 students are of 11-16 age group. Furthermore, in the Modern dance class the ratio of 11-16 age group is higher than the ones under 11 years which are 300 in total and 500 of the adults. The highest number of under 11 years age group students attends Ballet class. While the highest number of the students with the age group of 11-16 attends modern dance class.
