The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The pie chart compares the difference location of dance classes, while the bar chart illustrates the type of dance classes youngsters are attending in Australia.

Overall, private studios accounted for the most visited location. While college based-studios was the least. In addition, students under the age of 11 had the largest percentage for ballet dance class, while 11 and above participated in modern dance more frequently.

In detail, private studios had the largest percentage of attendees with 48%, followed by school halls with 24%, in contrast to college based-studios accounting for the least proportion with 10%

Furthermore, the largest percentage for ballet dance class was seen with students under the age of 11, which also accounted for the smallest percentage in modern dance, while the highest for modern dance were the students above 11, and had the lowest percentage for ballet dance class. Finally, it is worth noting that the younger age students outsmart the older students with different with around 50 participants
