The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The given pie charts depicts the data of location and type of dance classes attended by youngsters in Australia currently.
Overall, it is evident from the chart that private studios have the highest rate for the location, while, ballet and modern dance records the highest attendance.
The percentile of private studios is slightly under half, whereas school halls or after-school classes constitute a quarter. Moreover, the difference among college based studios and community halls and other is 8%, being 10% for the former.
Moving ahead, number of children under 11, participating in ballet was 600 which is 150 less for tap and approximately 300 in total for modern danse. Following this, children from 11 to 16 have highest participation in modern, which is 520, while it is the lowest for ballet. As far as the difference between the number of students of both age groups is considered in tap danse, it is 50 students, accounting for 450 for pupils under 11 and 400 for others.
