The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The charts illustrate the proportion on the location and types of dance classes young citizens in a town in Australia are attending nowadays.

Overall, private studios account for a large proportion of classes while college-based studios contribute minimal to it. Regarding the types of dance classes, modern is more popular among elderly children, while young children prefer ballet.

To begin with, 48% of dance classes are held in private studios, while this figure is 24% for school halls (after-school). Meanwhile, community halls and other account for 18%. Additionally, college-based studios are considered by only 10% citizens, a lowest figure among all the locations.

Moreover, 600 students, who are under 11, consider ballet while this figure is halved for pupils who belong to 11-16 age bracket. Tap is popular among 450 students (under 11) and 420 students (11-16). 300 students, under 11, consider modern insteresting while this figure is 520 for students aged 11 - 16.
