The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The chart illustrates the location of dance classes and the bar graph displays the types of dance classes according to different age groups in a town in Australia.

Overall, private studios had the largest shares whereas college based studios had the lowest numbers of location in the town. Ballet and Modern dances were highly favoured by different ages.

In terms of the location of dance classe there are 4 different locations in the town in which private studios had 48% of control over the town. In contrast college-based studios had only 10%. After that schools halls had 24%, which is slightly higher than community halls and other community halls and others were standing at 18%.

In the table there are 3 different types of dances favoured by 2 age groups. Ballet dance was highly preferred by the age group of under 11 standing at 600 learners, whereas aged of 11-16 had only 300 students. Tap dance had similar number of students, but under 11 had exceeded slightly by around at 450 and 17-16 was around 420. Another highly liked dance was modern dance. The highest students of this dance was the age of 17 and 16, however under 11 had only 300 students in this dance.
