Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers all parts of the task and provides a clear overview of the main trends. You successfully identified the most popular location (private studios) and the age-related preferences for dance styles. However, the reporting of data is occasionally confusing. For example, the statement '600 young children's are interested to participate in ballet dance and 300 young people have taken place in ballet dance' is unclear because the chart shows a single figure for ballet. Ensure that you are accurately interpreting the visual data rather than inventing categories like 'interest' versus 'participation' when the chart does not explicitly distinguish them.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'subsequently' to link ideas. However, the flow is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. The referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where the connection between the age groups and the dance types is slightly muddled. Improving the transition between sentences would help the reader follow your analysis more smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey the main points, such as 'proportion', 'evident', and 'participate'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'small share of proportion' (which is redundant) and 'taken place in' (which is not the correct way to describe attendance). There are also some minor errors in word form, such as 'children's' instead of 'children'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise terminology for describing data trends and avoid redundant phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with pluralization ('young children's', '410 and 450 number of students') and article usage ('the least among all'). Some sentences are grammatically awkward, such as 'college based studios accounts for small share'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent pluralization to improve accuracy.
