Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the charts, identifying key trends such as the popularity of private studios and the age-related preferences for dance styles. However, the response is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence ('Furthermore, the modern'). This prevents a full overview or a cohesive conclusion. While the main features are selected, the lack of completion significantly impacts the development of the response. To improve, ensure that all points are fully articulated and that the essay reaches a natural conclusion. The data reporting is generally accurate, but the abrupt ending prevents the response from fully meeting the requirements of a well-developed summary.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the flow is hindered by the incomplete final sentence. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Overall', 'However', and 'In addition to this', but they are sometimes used mechanically. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'the other and community centers', which lacks grammatical precision. The progression of ideas is logical until the sudden termination of the text. To improve, focus on ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that transitions between sentences are smoother and more varied.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing for the description of data and trends. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'significant ratio' and 'vicinity', though these are sometimes used with slight inaccuracies in collocation. There are also errors in word choice, such as 'the least majority', which is a contradiction. The range is sufficient to convey the main points, but more precise terminology related to data description (e.g., 'proportion', 'predominant', 'account for') would enhance the quality of the response. Spelling is generally accurate, but the overall lexical control is limited.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'the young people who attending' (missing auxiliary verb), 'only the few percent' (incorrect article usage), and 'under 11 age more prefer' (incorrect word order). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct article usage will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
