The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Overall, private studios are the most popular location, while college-based studios are the least popular. In terms of dance types, ballet is the most popular among children under 11, whereas modern dance is more popular among students aged 11 to 16.

Private studios account for 48% of classes, while school halls make up 24%. Community halls and other locations account for 18%, while college-based studios account for 10%.

The bar chart shows some clear differences between the two age groups. Among children under 11, ballet is the most popular type, with about 600 students. Tap is also quite popular, with around 450 students, while modern dance has about 300 students. However, the pattern is different for those aged 11 to 16. Modern dance is the most popular, with just over 500 students. Around 420 students attend tap classes, while ballet has only about 300 students.
