Student answer (Band 5.0)
the diagram as the pie chart shows the information about the places where the dances are held as four collection are chosen which are is community halls and others ; the private studios ; college based studios and school halls.
as if we take a look at the chart the most of dance classes are held in the private studios which can be either around the world. the second most classes that are located are in the school halls which is 25% as the dramatically taken record after that at the third the community halls and other are places where the dance classes are taken which is hardly 18% and the least percentage of dance classes of college based studios is 10% held according to the record shown in the figure.
If we take a look to the bar graph which shows the types of classes by age group which are less than 11 and eleven to sixteen.
So the types of the dances are ballet ; tap ; and modern.
The students that are under 11 have been taken most of the classes about hardly six hundred children and those who are from 11 to 16 have taken dance classes up to 300 students of ballet dance.
The tap dance shows the record of significantly about 430 students of age from 11 to 16 and those who are under 11 are about 450 students in the tap dance. the third dance named modern in which 520 students from age of eleven to sixteen involved and strictly three hundred students have taken classes of modern dance.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response covers the main features of both charts, but the presentation of data is often inaccurate or confusing. For example, you state that private studios are 'around the world,' which is irrelevant to the provided data. Furthermore, the description of the bar graph is problematic; you misinterpret the figures for the age groups and dance types, leading to a factual mismatch with the provided charts. While you attempt to report the main features, the lack of precision in data extraction and the inclusion of irrelevant information prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on accurately transcribing the figures and comparing the categories clearly rather than listing them in a disjointed manner.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused, such as 'as if we take a look at the chart' and 'as the dramatically taken record.' These phrases do not effectively link ideas or guide the reader through the data. The transition between the pie chart and the bar graph is abrupt. To improve, use more natural linking words like 'In contrast,' 'Regarding the second chart,' or 'Furthermore,' and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that introduces the data being discussed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often used incorrectly. Phrases like 'dramatically taken record' and 'strictly three hundred students' are unnatural and do not accurately describe the data. There is also a reliance on basic vocabulary, and some word choices are confusing, such as 'four collection are chosen.' To reach a higher band, you should use more precise terminology for describing trends and data, such as 'account for,' 'the majority of,' 'a significant proportion,' or 'the lowest percentage.' Expanding your range of reporting verbs and adverbs will help you describe the charts with more sophistication and clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('four collection are chosen'), incorrect preposition usage ('look to the bar graph'), and awkward sentence structures ('the students that are under 11 have been taken most of the classes'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary semicolons used incorrectly. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect pluralization.
